My wife, my two dogs and the couple in the next apartment are all snoring (thin walls) and I can’t get any sleep. On another note, I’m going in for my first session for my sleeve tomorrow so I probably would not be sleeping any way.

The leafs look a little flower like to me. I would see if there was a different kind of filler? Maybe use some bamboo or some kind of wind lines like what you see in the background of a japanese tattoo.

Anything can be covered. The question is: why would you want to cover it? it looks like a halfway decent tattoo to me. Maybe you should add a body and some background.

sounds to e like you had an artist with a heavy hand. He/she might have gone deeper than they should leaving you with heavy scabs and bruising. follow the suggestions above and wait it out. if you see swelling or redness around the tat that gets worse with time then go see a doc.
