Depends on skin tone. There’s a group of freaky white people, like myself, who never, ever are in the sun. I work inside. I exercise inside. My car is in a garage. My skin is super pale. I’m trying to remember the year of my first tattoo, but I think it was maybe 2007 or 2008. It has some white highlights, and they look, well, white. I…[Read more]

From a medical POV, that is a terrible idea.
Just exfoliate lightly with a washcloth and antibacterial soap. If you squeeze, you risk opening a sore up and taking ink with you.

I wouldn’t tattoo my face for a million bucks.
However, I like this face tattoo. It highlights her gentleness, her connection with the detail of nature, and natural femininity. Nothing scary or unpleasant, although a few minute details aren’t thrilling me.

I’m going to play devil’s advocate. I do like some text tattoo, and I have a rather large one in Tengwar (one of Tolkein’s elvish languages). The majority of people who’ve seen it have pleasant things to say about it. I am still in love with it after a year.
Text tattoos aren’t the dead ends people play them out to be. While you’ll have a…[Read more]

Maybe if instead of putting thin women down and bitching how it doesn’t let enough (acceptably) fat midgets in, we actually worked toward building self-esteem in girls for reasons other than their looks.

Just for curiosity’s sake, what types of tattoos would make you turn tail and run?Prison tattoos, gang tattoos, particularly violent tattoos in covert or more obtuse ways. I’m a woman, but oddly, none of my lovers have tattoos. It’s not a preference thing, but just happened that way. I don’t think I’ve ever even dated someone with a tattoo.
There absolutely are some tattoos that turn me off, but it wouldn’t bother me to date someone with full, nice sleeves and make them a part of my life.

I was obsessed with Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 4. My girl won, and now Drag U is on, and I’m disappointed. I should mention, in my job, when I’m on the floor nights, I watch a lot of TV. I also love Adventure Time.

I live in a conservative area and work in a conservative field. I’m also a polyamorist who has tattoos. Because of where I live and work, I’m quiet about those those last two things.

The longest I sat was for two hours, and it was on my ribs. That said, tattoos should NOT hurt that badly. It should be less painful than being slapped. I’d compare it to have a chip clip snipped on your skin over and over… Not a nice feeling, but not bad.
