Eh who knows.. Some artists have more prestige in certain areas and are more expensive. It just sort of depends.

You shouldn’t get a tattoo for the sake of “getting a tattoo.” It should have meaning. What’s the reasoning behind your need for body art? Don’t get one until you have an idea.

I’d go to an artist for what they specialize in. If my artist can’t do what I want, I’ll go else where. It’s my body, I get what I want.

Tribal takes longer in some cases than other designs… Precision is key and if done incorrectly it would look tacky with blotches and unclean linework…. So they look good from what I can see.

Both of those tatts seem quite fresh, it does take some time for the swelling to naturally go down. The lettered tattoo looks VERY fresh, which could explain the height of the letters, although it’s possible it was redone, yet, it still looks a bit swollen to me. I have a couple tattoos that were done with an…[Read more] -

You’re skinny like I am. It hurts the most over the ribs and hip. When he got to my back it hurt less. It’s pretty miserable to sit through. I’ve only had the linework done so far. There will be shading of black and gray and the only color will be on the cherry blossoms: pink. Thank you very much for the compliments. Tattoos and peircings feel…[Read more]

Hey there bud. What style are you looking for? It’s a good idea to look at artwork unassociated with tattoos first and primarily. This tattoo will be meaning a lot to you so you’ll want it done right. Study different styles like a naturalistic version or more stylized/signature. You’d be amazed at what a tattoo artist can sketch or replicate.…[Read more]

Check out my albums not only do I have the line work done on my side for you to look at but as well, take a look at the album labeled, “ink I like” I posted and you should see a ribpanel peice of a phoenix in the somewhere if I can help anymore lemme know. It’s rad your artist let you wear a stencil like that before getting the ink done. Warning:…[Read more]

Yes the text is small but there’s a trick to that on the itouch. Take your thumb and index finger together as if you were going to pinch the screen then push them apart and away from each other at the same rate and it magnifies that spot for easier reading. Try it on your iPhone and tell me if that works.

I have to say it’s a very simple design but because of the placement I absolutely love it. Welcome to the forum and you should proudly show it off.

Todd: Well you’ve come to the right place for this kind of question. First off almost every tattoo artist requires a down payment of 50 or so dollars to work with them, this is to say they are the real deal. Secondly, a lot of artists specialize in a subject matter or style. If you want machinery for example, go to someone who specializes in it.…[Read more]

The only thing that really needs work is your shading. Something that may really help your skills are still lifes. Take a few objects on a peice of fabric then cast a lamp on them. Work with the light and practice your shading. Real objects really help refine naturalism and accuracy. Also.. always remember to practice practice practice!! Take it easy..

That’s not unoriginal at all… Uhm.. red ink fades faster than black or gray ink. But every tattoo is to be reworked every 10 to 15 years… However, take into consideration you use your hands and fingers quite a lot. In my area that tattoo would cost $40 tops. It’s going to hurt but not any more than any other tattoo…
