Yes because it can wrap around and flow rather than being scrunched into a small space.
The artist will be able to make it fit the shape of your body I was just saying don’t try to cram something that complex into a small area.

Hi
With regards to UV ink here is what I have taken from my research
UV Ink (Black Light Ink)
This type of ink is a relative newcomer to the tattoo scene and has been around approximately 10 years for human consumption, although it has much more recently taken off for use as a tattooing pigment
The ink in essence glows in the dark especially…[Read more]

The design is great and I love the picture.
However to get that much detail in the piece you are going to have to go big even if you just have the dog standing alone.
It will make an awesome tattoo though!

replied to the topic Going back for a touchup, Q's?? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 16 years, 2 months ago
Hi
The tattoo surface heals in around 2 weeks but the underneath is still healing as scar tissue is forming.
The min you should wait is 4 weeks for a touch up but 6 weeks is ideal if you can wait that long.It is possible to touch up in less time but you run a risk of butchering your skin up.

Sorry but discussion of inks and ink types (as opposed to colours) can lead to somebody being tempted to do it for themselves. (So closing the thread).
My advice is speak with a reputable artist who will know the effect you want.

You could always get it on your collarbones or as an upper arm piece.
Very true statement though.Take Care

Hi
Just as a side issue I have seen many Russian prison tattoos that are fantastic in detail based on the fact they often applied with the crudest of tools.
This is not a bad blog for a few examples all of these have been documented in archives (I have the books they were taken from) and I think the only ones that are not usually done in prison…[Read more]

Hi
To be honest you are best just living with the tattoo because if you pick the scab it will leave a scar outline.
If you abraid it off with sandpaper, wire wool, grater it will leave a very nasty scar.
If have it surgically removed by a scalpel it will scar as will acid removal.Laser is possible but you may have to hit the lines again as it…[Read more]

Hi
It is possible to replace the animal in a Japanese style but if it is very traditional it will have an almost cartoon look (big eyes long limbs etc).
More contemporary Japanese pieces are less cartoon like but both contain some of the 4 elements (earth air, fire or water) as a backdrop.
Floral (blossoms, lillies, etc) do tend to be…[Read more]

replied to the topic Tattoo cover up idea in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 16 years, 2 months ago
It can be done as the ink is quite faded but the wing/body area is going to have to be quite dark to cover the outline.
I would also suggest an artist who can really do animal portraits so you do not end up with a cartoon type tat (unless you are into them).
Are you having some leaves and branches added for a bit of colour?
