I went to my local tattoo studio and the owner took a good look and said its fine, have swapped using bep with tattoo goo, which I have used previously on small tattoos on my foot and neck, its so much better! I totally started reading that, but when there was no punctuation and all the sentences ran on, I lost interest. Good for you for being so open to feedback, not everyone is like that. Some people think they know it all and even though they ask for feedback they can’t handle hearing it.
If done properly, negative space can look good in a tattoo but with your design the space is large and critical and a major focal point rather than just an accent so that’s…[Read more] -

Working out is bad due to friction from rubbing against clothes, workout machines, etc., sweating and excessive movement. Let it rest and heal.
Regarding your design…I’m not an artist so I won’t be able to explain well but I don’t see that design translating well to a tattoo. I suppose the horse is doable although there’s alot going on in…[Read more]

You couldn’t at least post a link to his portfolio? What would you want to know about him, like if he’s a nice guy or something? Doesn’t make sense.

So what are you getting?
Make sure you get aftercare instructions from the artist and follow them, assuming it’s a reputable artist. I would definitely take as many precautions as possible to avoid rubbing between pants (especially denim) and tattoo but I’m not a fan of wrapping in plastic as this traps moisture which isn’t good. Wash it gently in…[Read more] -

Take your time, don’t rush into this. If that was your first thought then don’t settle for just the word serenity. Keep searching internet sites and tattoo galleries, something will come to you.

I don’t know about the smell, might just be the ink or something the artist used for sterilization or cleaning. Some ointments like A&D have odors, also. If an artist reads this they might know more. Wash with a mild soap so it doesn’t get too dried out and keep an eye on it, you should be fine. If you’re using bepanthen (whatever it is) I’ve read…[Read more]

Ya, why not? Is it the word or the placement you’re not sure about? The word I suppose, but some of both. Only my personal opinion but I’m just not a big fan of script tattoos, having a word down the back of your arm seems a little lame to me. I think a creatively designed image is far more visually appealing but to each their own.

You just got a tattoo of your dalmation which shows you like dogs, why do you need to add a quote? If you must, maybe add a word or two (like “faithful”) under the dalmation but a seperate “greeting card” tattoo is not necessary. Personal opinion of course.

I’m not a professional but I’ll comment anway. First, there are many methods to healing a tattoo but personally I’m not a fan of the continuous wrapping with cling wrap. Your tattoo actually looks well done, the bruising may just be because it’s a sensitive area and so new. Some ooozing is normal. If you apply any ointment only do so lightly after…[Read more]

Another dog tattoo…right after getting the dalmation? I don’t like just the outline and I think the quote is too long.

Probably not the greatest idea. You’re talking sweat, trapped moisture if you wrap it, rubbing and banging it, etc. Not an ideal situation for healing a tattoo.
