I would definitely take as many precautions as possible to avoid rubbing between pants (especially denim) and tattoo but I’m not a fan of wrapping in plastic as this traps moisture which isn’t good. Probably not the greatest idea. You’re talking sweat, trapped moisture if you wrap it, rubbing and banging it, etc. Not an ideal situation for healing a tattoo.
