Hi Purple
I have not been tattooed with the cream but I have been cut open and had some (minor-ish) surgery with it.
Due to my heart condition they did not want to use a general anaesthetic so they used stack of cream which kills the feeling in your leg.
Talking with the guy working on me I joked about him letting me have it for a tattoo.
His…[Read more]

Hi
I do not think it is a legal issue but more of a personal policy.
I know several artists who refuse to do hands/face/neck as a standard operation. My advice is do not rush into the next shop but as with any tattoo take your time in choosing an artist.

Hi Magmarush
Penis tattooing is a very serious matter. if it goes wrong you can damage your tackle badly.
Do not attempt this yourself and you would need a professional to do it.The biggest problem is that you would have to maintain an erection whilst the tattoo is being done. The medical side is that an erection should not be maintained for…[Read more]

Hi Purplestar
Many ink manufacturers do not directly declare what is in their contents – but many are made from the following;
Metal oxides
Clay extracts
Monoarylide and Diarylide (synthetic pigments)
Also some compunds found in plastics.
Check out this link shows what can be used in the dyes but I have no idea if this stuff is tested on…[Read more]

Hi PB
I would recommend a studio type lighting to get a ‘professional’ shot of a tattoo.
Natural daylight can create artificial shadows and shading of the subject. Flash can over expose but with the right back lighting and exposure can really show off a tattoo.
Personally I take mine with a standard digital but if it was something important I…[Read more]

Hi
What exactly are you wanting it to say as angels in the bible are mopstly linked to God sendng a message of warning or to punish sinners.
The concept of a guardian angel is more a human construct as opposed to direct bibilical writings.
However I did find this passage from Hebrews 1-12
Hebrews 1:14 (King James Bible)
Are not all angels…[Read more]

Hi
My suggestions are first of all decide exactly what you want in the tattoo;
Is the main focus the guitar with wings?
Do you want a hot rod as the centre piece with the guitar incorporated into the piece?
An idea I had was get a classic hot-rod car design and on the grill have a metallic shaped guitar that is winged in the centre.
Across…[Read more]

replied to the topic Length of time for a sitting? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 17 years, 1 month ago
Hi Viking
You will be fine – we are just talking about the ‘comfort zone’ when sitting for 2-3 hrs. Both for the artist and the client.
If you are travelling that far then sometimes you have to push beyond the comforts and grit your teeth a little.
You will prob find you are a bit ‘raw’ towards the end but I am sure you will sail through it.

Hi
I have used bethpanen, Preparation H, Tattoo Goo and Savlon (but this one was only for 2-3 days and light applications) then I tend to switch to a non scented moisturiser such as Aquaphor but have tried Vaseline Intensive Care which also works well.
Some ppl use antispetics for longer – I find after a few days my skin starts to itch and flake…[Read more]

Hi Azure
Very nice tattoo and will look great when it has healed.
Personally get the leg connected – ink is slightly different to pencil drawings so I think a full connection will look better.
Glad you got the hand sorted out he don’t look so weired now that he has full fingers. 😉
A touch mnore shading at the bottom wouldn’t hurt although…[Read more]

Hi
When washing the tattoo something soft such as fingers a soft wash cloth or sponge is fine. The main thing is to not rub it vigourously and to pat it dry gently.
Bethpanen or other antiseptics should be used for the first 2-3 days or so (some say 5 days) and then moisturise with non-scented lotion 2-3 times a day.
Main thing is to keep it…[Read more]

Hi Daniel
First of all make sure you get it translated properly before you ink.
I personally would not trust a translation site – goto a professional who can speak/write the language as there are a lot of nuances in both Arabic and Hebrew.
Are you sure you want it on your forearm?
I have changed careers a number of times and every place had a…[Read more] -

Hi
Depending on the size of the font you could probably fit it all on one side.
I would suggest maybe tracing it out and measure the length and then seeing how it fits on the body.Take Care

Hi
I did not meet Ami as he was taking time off. They have around 7 artists working there now.
3 of them are great artists but have not been shown on the tV series as they joined later.
I met Nunez who is a funny guy but damn does he work – he was onto his 5th client back to back when I wandered in but took time out to say hello.

Hi
Hmm long time since I had any piercings done but reckon will take a week to 10 days for your ears to heal sufficiently?
Are earrings acceptable if you wear a plaster over them in your workplace?
I am fortunate they cannot tell me to take mine out as many of the women have pierced ears and refused.

Hi
Depends on the style of tattoo.
For portrait work or black and shade I would go to High Voltage (not just Kat Von D – they all seem to specialise in that field when visited).
That said though I would argue that Miami Ink has a much more experienced team and come a very close second in portrait work.
So overall I would say Miami Ink – based…[Read more]
