Ok, time for you guys to voice your opinion to settle the score…Which Tattoo Studio appears to be better? Miami Ink (Love Hate Tattoos) or LA Ink (High Voltage Tattoo)?

    Hi

Depends on the style of tattoo.

For portrait work or black and shade I would go to High Voltage (not just Kat Von D – they all seem to specialise in that field when visited).

That said though I would argue that Miami Ink has a much more experienced team and come a very close second in portrait work.

So overall I would say Miami Ink – based on years of experience and been an ‘all rounder’.

I have seen both shops work in person on my USA tour and was quite impressed.

That’s awesome. So, how are the guys at Miami Ink in person? (specifically Ami and Nunez) Are they pretty cool and down to earth or are they kind of a**holes?

    Hi

I did not meet Ami as he was taking time off. They have around 7 artists working there now.

3 of them are great artists but have not been shown on the tV series as they joined later.

I met Nunez who is a funny guy but damn does he work – he was onto his 5th client back to back when I wandered in but took time out to say hello.

Chris Garver and Yoji were also there and I got a couple of pics with Yoji and Chris had a brief chat as he was busy preparing for his next client.

They all seem regular guys and it was nice meeting them.

    Hi

I will set up in my album when I get a chance. I am currently in a store dispute over a heap of shit ‘all in one’ scanner/printer/fax which has broken down after a month.

    Last time I buy HP.

Different strokes for different folks. I personally want her to get hit by the metaphorical bus.

Just, you know, without the metaphorical part.

    Actually KH

She does come across as irritating and annoying but if it was a one off session and I got some great ink I would be able to whore my personal feelings for a few hours. :p

That said I met Louis Malloy one time many years back and was struck by the deep desire to smack him in the mouth. Not that he had done anything to me personally I just couldn’t stand his manner.

I also do not rate his work as highly as he rates himself ( it is not shit but then again I have I seen many an artist who can match or better it) and frankly it put me off watching London Ink as soon as I saw him in it.
