I love tattooing.

Unfortunately every employer I have had has had a zero visible ink policy.

I have had a written warning over my tattoos on my arms (I was moving some tables and took my shirt off to my vest and I was pulled by management).

Most employers discourage or dislike ink past the elbow.

I personally would avoid the trad method unless you know it to be sterile. That said the actual designs are not difficult for an experienced artist to replicate.

Don’t get it covered up.

There is nothing wrong with pin-up styles on men. I am quite fond of them.

I would advise getting a rework done on the bits you are not happy with and def work on the shading and colouring.

A decent artist can make that tattoo shine.

It is not a bad tattoo at all just needs a little more work.

As KH states great idea but poor execution because of the white inks.

I had white highlights in my wife’s portratit barely lasted 18 mths before it faded out.

The white ink simply won’t hold for a full tattoo.

That said I am glad KH has finally admitted he likes a good bonin’ 😀

The thing to watch for is anything that can rub, stretch or put the wound under pressure eg massive contraction of the muscle group. No tight cloth on the area.

Take a couple of days to recover then light exercise on the area for the next 8-10 days should be healed by then.

If the weight loss is controlled like you aredoing it wont affect the tattoo. Only massive weight loss or gain over a very short period of time can cause adverse stretching or loose skin on a tattoo.

That said big muscles never hurt so do the gym for general health.

First of all my thoughts are that the tattoo sounds fine and will look good by any decent artist. i have seen a few tribal style snakes and some can be executed very well.
