You know, I’ve never thought about wether freckles disappear under white ink or not. That actually threw me for a second. Still, now that I HAVE thought about it, it seems to me that no, they would not. Your tattoo is like a piece of art seen through a tinted window; the lighter the tint and the more powerful the colors of the artwork, the better…[Read more]

I got my first piece of ink seven or eight years ago. I did check out the shop I ultimately went with, though not as throughly as I would do now (I didn’t have the knowledge).
The thing is though, I checked out EVERY shop in my area. I didn’t know what I was looking for, per say, but when I walked into Heavens and saw the dirt on the floor, I…[Read more]

The best advice for right now is to chill man. It’s very, very, very hard to tell what a tattoo actually looks like when it’s peeling. What you need to do is to keep lotioning it as much as possible, and follow the after care instructions you were given. A tattoo takes a minimum of two weeks to heal up, and until that point you don’t know how it’s…[Read more]

Bah, a pox on your pox Lord Hull. You know ole Big Knickers’ crabs has the herpes, and the herpes ‘as the AIDS. Her various pox, plagues, and maladies are such that theys be too busy fighting the other to give her any trouble.
But speaking of such, ole Big Knickers learned long ago not to trust you English. Only stick the tip in indeed.

Look, who’s a scratcher and who ain’t is pretty damn simple.
Does your art work suck?
Do you give people arm herpes due to you being an idiot and not following proper sterilization techniques?
If you answered yes to either (or if either’s true and you’re just a damn dirty English liar) then you’re a scratcher.
The thing is, while there are…[Read more]

I’ve seen this tattoo more than once in real life, and truth to be told, no matter how good the artist is, that tattoo always looks like thrice hammered shit. The problem with it is all that white. Unless you’re whitey McWhiterton, the white won’t show up through your skin tone very well, and either way, white fades faster than any other…[Read more]

With that knight’s helmet in there, I would personally would continue the motif with suits of armor standing in traditional poses in-between more of that leaf work running up and down your arm like tribals.
Alternately, you could try working into an old school British navy scene.

Being an American, I know dick all about Australia, save for Kangaroos and drop bears, and my entire knowledge of New Zealand is that Lord of the Rings was filmed there and there’s a sweet tattoo artist Izzy there.
But I do know tattoos. One thing I’ve noticed is that tattoo virgins all too often seem to want to start on their shoulders. Not sure…[Read more]

Assuming that is true Matthew, and I’m not saying it is, but if I were created through a sort of darkest black magic auto-genesis, and thus am not human, doesn’t that negate the alleged cannibalistic qualities of my existence?
I mean, are you, Mr. Hull, a cannibal for eating the flesh of lesser creatures such as cows, chickens, and…[Read more]

Oh my gawd.
You are so adorable!!
I could just eat you right up!
Now, on to more serious business, I agree with Matthew’s sentiments. This sounds like a design that could work very well in the hands of a competent artist, and while if done well it will be very elegant, I wouldn’t call it feminine. The two just get confused alot.
