I got my belly button pierced on the bottom about a decade ago; I’m entertaining putting jewelry back in it, but not sure… Like you, after surgery, piercings came out. Let us know how the re-pierce works out.

And, Sam, have you ever talked to your orthopedist about getting tattooed over it? I’d say it’s not the first time s/he’s heard the question.

I’ve also been tattooed over a big old scar, and Pox is right – It felt odd. I assumed it felt odd because of the healing nerves from the surgery four years ago.
