Hi
First of all have you finished grieving for your loss. I ask because sometimes we keep adding to ink (especially memerorial tattoos) because we are trying to fill that hole. I only ask as you may want to consider waiting a while if it is a recent loss.
If you are certain you wish to add to it there are several things you can add;
The tattoo…[Read more]

Hi Luchia
Welcome to the forum – I would love to see your flash work.
The forum does not allow discussion of what is considered ‘unlicensed tattooing themes’ (includes what equipment to buy etc).
However if you click on Outlaw’s signature he has a forum that will answer all of your questions. it is a great site for this kind of thing.

In answer to your questions Slim –
I have 4 main projects that I am considering;
3 will be in ebook format and will be made available for the community free of charge but will have certain clauses on their use.
In effect they will be there as an information resource and interest reading for ink addicts like ourselves or ppl who are considering…[Read more]

Hi Apostle
BME is the best site to check out blacklight tattoos.
I have seen several healed ones and they can leave a brown mark or a scar outline.
That said they can also go lumpy from what I can see and there is some suggestion that the ink can dislodge and float away into the blood stream. (depending on the ink type)
The main issue is…[Read more]

Hi Sarah
As Sweepy has said we would really need to see the tattoo before we can advise on the best course of action.
If it is a small one it should be reasonably easy to rectify.

Hi Tony
It will take more than a couple of sessions to lighten that tattoo (as always speak with a specialist first) but I am thinking it will set you back around a thousand or so.
It is nice ink – get a rework to make it newer and be grateful it is not some crappy art you got stuck with.

replied to the topic First tattoo, need advice on ink on skin in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 17 years ago
Hi
My first question is do you have any open cuts or scratches where the smudge is?
If you do the ink is prob permanent as it will sink into the cut.If not it can take upto a couple of weeks for the ink to wash away – do not scrub the area as it is close to the tattoo which could be damaged by harsh abrasion.
As it is sounds like you don’t…[Read more]

My dear Mr. Knighthawk,
It may seem rude of me to bring this up but I must state my shock and disgust at your use of the ‘F’ word.
I have no qualms over incest, homosexuality, violence or bad taste in liquor, however I do draw a line at you using the word ‘French’.There is simply no excuse for this appalling lack of manners – indeed I was so…[Read more]

Hi Darren
Tattoos can be damaged by very fast weight loss or gain because the skin does not have time to adjust to the new shape and goes saggy.
That said steady and controlled weight loss and plenty of exercise will mean that your tattoos will be fine.
Good luck with it.

Thank-you
That would be sweet.Copy-right is an undertsandable issue and I have do desire to break it – much of my stuff will be done on a share-alike basis – meaning that ppl can share the work but have to acknowledge the retaining rights of the owners named on the work or images.
Also if a person wants a copy-prohibitive donation i will add…[Read more]

My good sir I read with wry amusement the idea that one could confuse me with yourself. It is more than easy to tell me apart from your good-self.
Whilst my parents may or may not have been cousins there is a definite resembelance to you and your parents with them being brother and sister afterall. Also the fact you have 11 toes is a good…[Read more]

Hi Dark Pony
Have you considered a dark-mirror style tattoo.
This works on taking the images that you already have and copying them but in a much darker theme.
For example where you have the angel you could have a laughing demon tearing through a biohazard (or flag of choice) which has been set on flames.
The eagle could be a ghould bird or…[Read more]

replied to the topic Blue and Green Removal – Any improvements in Lasers? in the forum Tattoo Removal Discussion 17 years ago
Hi Dk
Lasers have made some large improvements with tattoo removal – that said they still struggle with green as a colour.
As for the type it really depends on your skin type. country you are in and how much you are willing to spend.
The tattoo would easily cover over now with a decent tattoo and might be a much cheaper option as you maybe…[Read more]

replied to the topic Scarification in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 17 years ago
Actually I have always wondered what came first scarification or tattooing.
Because skin breaks down so fast after death it was very difficult to tell when either actually started. The earliest tattoos are around 10000 BC or so.
My thoughts are that scarification came before tattooing as many would have simply cut patterns into the skin and…[Read more]

Hi
The best thing to do is wait a minimum of 4 weeks – 6 if you can wait that long.
If the tattoo has still got a faded look – then the ink has fallen out and will need to be reworked by a professional artist.
If you could email the picture I would be able to betetr advise.
I have sent you a PM

Hi
You would struggle to cover it up without it ruining teh rest of the tattoo as would have to be either dark purple or black and even then it will prob look like it was slapped on for a tough cover up.
My advice is work with what you have there is nothing actually wrong with the tattoo.
If you are not happy my advice is consider;
A reshade…[Read more]
