Wow!!! I can only agree with everything that’s been said already.
What awesome tats to start with!!! Not a (or nowhere even close) bad tat in there.
Stick with that guy and you’ll be looking great all the time!!!!

What you need to do is take photos that can be loaded up and we can view you in 360 degrees!!! 🙂

Hello and welcome:)

The longer you’re on this forum you’ll see that Matthew speaks a lot of sense.
From personal experience, my first tat was at the top of my arm back in 1992. Thinking back, I wish
I had got it bigger but I’ve recently got it covered up and now have my left/right chest covered with larger pieces and I’m delighted. So, I would have a big think about it. The pain isn’t that bad and you certainly won’t regret it if you start off with the right piece.

Oh…go Japanese!!! 😀

I think that with tattoos it’s a bit of a Marmite ‘love it/hate it’ situation and that will influence people’s
opinions.

When I watch the likes of LA Ink/London Ink, I think the girls look great because…as Knighthawk said…it’s good ink.

As for heavily tattooed…I’d agree on the visible parts being covered.

Looks good mate.
What else are you having added? Going for wind bars/cherry blossoms?
Love colour but went for black/grey myself. 🙂

Again, not the best or worst. Is it fully healed? Might look better in a week or so.

£45…I had £50 taken off me for getting my daughters name on my chest!!!!

I recently had a tat on my chest going a bit down the top of my arm.
I found the chest was a bit nippy, more so as it edged towards my armpit.
The collar bone was the worst for me:eek:

I think though, for me it was the length of time. First session was 2 1/2 hours and the last 45mins was agony. Every time the needle bit I was gritting my teeth and the longer the stops between each bit made it worse.

When I went back a month later for the last 1 1/2, I found that quite nippy as well. Not sure if it was because the surrounding skin had already been worked on?

Also took a bit of a whitey due to not having had enough food or drink beforehand!!!

It’s worth it in the end and as much as I was thinking ‘never again’, I was in the week later booking my next session for Sept. 🙂

Hi,

Have you thought of having the koi where you have a chest plate and a half sleeve as you’ve already mentioned? You would have a definitive outline with the design of the koi/water etc within this?

I have a black and grey Japanese dragon within this on my left chest and I’m getting a black and grey koi on the right to match up.

You can go onto Google images and you’ll find lots of koi pics. I think they look great with loads of colour….I like the orange/black/white………..even though I’m just going for black and grey!!!! 🙂

Second that!!!

Sorry about your experience. Can I ask if you’re a bit young? Maybe I’m just old 🙂 but my sensible head told
me to do some research for designs (like on these forums) or for the actual tattoo parlour (there are UK based tattoo forums).
At least you’ll know what to look out for before getting any future ink and like already said, it should be easy
enough for a cover up.

Good luck 🙂

i know i want like a japanese themed sleeve but i dont know what to do…i know i dont just want flowers and shit i want like the samurai and the dragons and of course some of those japanese flowers but i dont know what to do i cant find any pics or anything

As has been said, do a search on Google images for things like Japanese dragon/koi/phoenix/foo dog etc etc
or find an artist where Japanese stuff is his/her thing.
I did that, went to him and told him that I wanted a dragon. He then drew it to place on my chest and the rest was freehanded on my arm with wind bars/cherry blossoms etc.

It’s something that they’ll have done many times I imagine.

I’ve just had a Japanese dragon on my chest/shoulder/arm and used Bepanthen for the first 3 days.
Didn’t get any problems with colour.
Didn’t scab at all….got peeling instead like sunburn so I then just used an unscented moisturiser and it’s been fine 🙂
