As above. I gave my artist free reign on colour choice, I just asked for nothing too bright in there (mine is biomech.)
He’s the artist, I figure that he’ll know what will work and what won’t, plus I imagine you get a better result if they’re using the colours that they want to.

Personally, I’d go for the large memorial, but then I don’t like text tattoos anyway.
As I say, I went large for my first and don’t regret it for a moment but, it’s your body so it can only be your decision.

For my first tattoo, I had something quite small in mind on the outside of my lower leg. Took the idea to my artist, who redrew it, and it ended up running from my ankle to up past the back of my knee (just over halfway through it now.)

How far into the tattoo are you? to be honest, the best person to finish up the design is your artist. If they’re out of their depth, or are unable to finish the design, it would be worth looking for another artist.

Thing is, no matter how good they look in the pictures, in the flesh they’re even better.
I’m halfway through my tattoo with Jim (Davids mentor,) at Ritual art but every time I’m in there, Davids art just blows me away. He was working on a terminator piece last time I was in there, the detail was just staggering.
