According to Wikipedia, normal Superman’s got a black ring now too. So does Wonder Woman and Superboy.Apparently Abattoir has one too, which is lame. He was a GRIM DARK 90’s supervillian made for Batman to fight in the vein of Mr. Zsasz, just without any of the character or attitude that makes Zsasz almost as scary as…[Read more]

Also, with the debate of what kind of Super hero Superman is portaryed to be, check out Superman #775. This is possibly the best single issue of Superman out there.
The story focuses on the new hero’s of the world, and a new regime has hit Earth and they are named the “Elite.” They go against EVERYTHING Superman has ever done by leading Earth,…[Read more]

That’s mostly right, except that Superman wasn’t present in that scene. The events occurred in Brad Metzler’s Identity Crisis mini-series and it was primarily Green Lantern and Hawkman who were responsible for the decision. It could well be that it’s since been retconned elsewhere given how fluid DC’s continuity has been of…[Read more] -

Holy shit, this is great haha. I don’t check the board for one day and there’s a damn debate on Superman and comics, right up my alley.
I don’t know where to begin since there is a lot to respond to, but I guess I’ll start with the origin of Superman. (There is a new origin of Superman now currently in progress, called Superman: Secret Origins,…[Read more]

That’s pretty damn sweet, that has creep written all over it and the capture of that was done really well. Looks like the shading was done very well and has major life, or I guess you could say death in your piece. Post a closeup pic with some light quality. +1.

its a nice piece, although i personally think it needs to be darker shaded to give it more depth
I was thinking the same thing. More in depth shading would allow it to pop out in certain spots rather it look flat.

The silhouetted figure probably represents his cousin, being a father figure, looking over his boys, the two soldiers. Like the overall tattoo as a whole. The faces could have done better as well as flow, but that could be re-worked with some color. Color would pop this S.O.B out and it could be a very sweet piece.

NiiiCCeeee dude, I have a major appreciation for characters such as the Ninja Turtles, Batman, Superman and all animation/comic book characters. I take MAD enjoyment in tats like this ( as you can see from my avatar.) Love the decision and it was depicted perfectly and precisely. Love it. +1.

Interesting. I take it that kind of art has some kind of personal message to you and a sheep signifies something connected to you in some way shape or form?
Meaning aside, I like the happy, upbeat nature about it and could classify as “cute” I guess you girls would say haha. Maybe it signifies your kind nature as a person. Perfect placing as…[Read more]

It says under your picture that you “love it.” Well, you should because it’s fantastic and tells a great story. Love the interacting with the leaf branch and the mystery of the concealed identity but still showing life with wings. Also, for your first tattoo, this is a piece to always be treasured. Congrats.

I’m glad you posted a better pic with light quality and angle, as well as a closeup. That said, love the way the fill ins were done, as it seems to be very smooth. Looks like your skin takes ink very well so kudos for that. This tat kind of reminds me of the Rock’s tattoo, which is absolute badass. I can see you extending this to your pec and make…[Read more]

It’s certainly not a bad tattoo by any stretch of the word, but it def could be much, MUCH better. Judging by the picture, the cross looks crooked to the right and the cross seems to be flat so to speak. I don’t like the shape of the cross but overall, not too too bad. You got balls going that big, on the rib cage for your first tat, I’ll give you that.

First initial thought right off the bat was coloring. Love the colors as it targets the eyes right off the get go. Love the corresponding tattoos on both arms, as it signifies personality and consistency. Well done.

I defiantly have to put much thought into it, as Butterfly said, I can go into so many different directions and I would love to capture the right scene that would correspond with the upper part of my arm and make more of the scene.
Thinking about it now, having two Superman’s flying could look crummy in a way, but the capture is important and I…[Read more]

I’m already thinking outside of the box and thinking about the full sleeve. Once the Superman symbols blending in with the night sky is finished, completing the half sleeve, I’m thinking about having a theme of having the sleeve consisting of Superman flying up my arm.
My idea is to have Superman, positioned a different angle on my forearm and…[Read more]

I like. I always liked purple and blue’s and that combination mixed in with a nicely done green will always turn out nice if done properly.
It seems the quality of the camera is bad so to speak and the left slide of the tattoo is blurry but other than that, the line work was done clean and it portrays as a smooth tattoo. I would of lessened up a…[Read more]
