A friend told me that when he got his, the pain was definitely there but the vibrations from the needle was worse on the windpipe.

Hope that helps any.

I have tattoos on my hands, feet, legs, arms, chest and back. I work one job with senior citizens and another job with children. I cover up the vulgar tattoos for the children and the seniors love looking at my tattoos.

Like said above, you’re being judged all the time with or without tattoos. There’s just a stigma with tatts that many conservatives have and you can’t fight it. They also can’t stand it that you wear your hair long or too short or your shirt baggy or tight blah blah blah…..can’t please the world.

Do what I did and create your own jobs and you’ll love going to work.

start with a concept of sorts……go from there. if not, I’m just going to suggest a big plum tree with a dragon coming around it with a dead bunny on the side and some ants eating it with some mice playing in clover fields. or some random shit like that. hahaha.

seriously, come up with at the very least a concept or a main theme.

You have some ink that is unusual like the crab.

Please don’t go for the koi. Everybody and their brother either has a koi or a dragon.

I personally ask people why they decided to get that and how long they have have the tatt for mainly just to pick their brains on their idea of a tatt, and to tell them it’s a good tatt. But that’s why I stare

I kind of ask the same.

Another question I generally ask is who did it since I’m in Hawaii and the tattoo artist community is smaller.

If you did something in a tritych or diptych, you wouldn’t need something as generic as a clock for time.

on second thought, this is for a tattoo………that might be too much.

some of my tatts scab up twice.

you should take a pic of it so we can get a clearer idea as to what you’re talking about.

Most schools here in Hawaii don’t look very highly at tattoos on teachers. Even in the college level which i used to teach at.

I covered up for the most part but one day i just said fuck it and went with my tattoos showing. The admin sort of was shocked but didn’t really make so much as a peep about my ink.

Now that I’ve quit that gig and have gone into a different arena all together, I can rock my tattoos as much as I want.

you just have to figure out what you are willing to sacrifice and how much bs you’ll be willing to put up with in order for you to keep your ink.

If you need to keep your tatts under wraps, then do so. If you don’t want to, find some sector of society that allows you to and be able to keep your job.

Really……..take a DVD player or something with you to keep your eyes, ears and brains occupied. makes the pain a little less.

Either that or just grit your teeth and schlog through it.

Pain…..can be pleasurable too, you know. hehehehehehe

Thanks for the reply. I just thought I remembered reading that the chest was a painful spot, or maybe it was just the sternum… Ha that makes me feel a lot better.

Head has to be one of the worst. You can’t move a muscle to do anything while getting your head tattooed and the needle is hitting all bone. Anything other than that, I think should be a piece of cake. just keep your eyes, ears and brain distracted and it should be easy to handle.

haha good point. i would love to ride in hawaii just for the views!

You should come for the riding.

You might get annoyed with all the tribal tattoos here in Hawaii but there’s a big tatt community that you’d enjoy meeting as well as a riding community.
