Yeah, clouds are a really bad idea for filler. It takes too much of the focus.
There’s no good answer for what would make a good filler, and to back that statement;
how many tattoos have you seen lately where people have stars between the empyt space?

picture is taken after first cleaning. had it wrapped over the night (20 hours – took a long sleep) so it might look raw, but feels okay.

for background , I’d go for the traditional stars and maybe have some simple anchors in between?
