7 sittings to complete 6 individual tattoos and totaling a little over 30 hours I think.

I’ve had shorter, 3 hour sessions and long 9 hour sessions. I would rather not sit for 9 hours but it was a guest artist situation and the work needed to get done so you just have to suck it up, get in a zone and tough it out. I think 4-5 is about enough though if possible.

This is obviously one of those questions where depending on who you ask you’ll get a different answer. For me, I think the rubbing back and forth motion makes the shading less pleasant. It feels like the skin is being chewed up.

I think you should leave it alone, take your time and consider something else more artistic and creative for your upper arm. The script isn’t beautifully done in my opinion but for what it is the wrist placement is fine, it wouldn’t look right on the upper arm.
