Well, I’m a hot-blooded viking and a fantasy nut. I love my battle axes ๐

Personally, if I wanted you to do that flash on me, I’d ask you to change the blade and handle design, but that’s just personal preference and no slight against the drawing. Looks very good.

I question where this axe would fit in a ‘battle’ world. From the handle and proportions t looks to be no bigger than a hammer-sized wood-chopping axe. As such, it has no place in any battle. Thus, comparatively, the spike looks tiny (maybe a 3-4″ blade) and would break if it ever struck anything more solid than meat.

Well, I can understand both sides of the coin. On one hand I would consider it an honor that my artist thinks so highly of my ink that (s)he wants to showcase it, but at the same time my ink is 100% unique (well, as far as anything is unique, and I have seen) because I don’t like having something that everybody else has. If my ink is so good that…[Read more]

Hey Tolley.
I don’t know if you fancy visiting Iceland, but there is a pretty good shop here in Reykjavik which only does guest spots. I have no clue whether or not they need an artist this winter, or if you’re up to their standard, but you could always contact them if you’re…[Read more]

Well, if you already know you won’t abide by that promise, why are you planning your new stuff around it? ๐
Do these lyrics have to come now? I mean, could it wait until your family are more used to it and you decide to break the promise and then get it in a place where you feel it should go?
I’m not necessarily saying it shouldn’t go where…[Read more]

Personally I think text would completely ruin that piece. Shade, add more blossoms, some wind or birds or whatever.. anything but text.

replied to the topic Birth mark tattooing in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 8 months ago
Yeah, I’m guessing I might have to just find a paper artist (those are easier to come by) and then find a good portrait tattoo artist to transfer the painting/pencil drawing/whatever to my skin.
And seeing as the backpiece is going to cost me some $8-10k, I will try to save up for each session as I go. Each sleeve is going to be around $3-5k and…[Read more]

The definition kinda varies but as a generalization Scratchers, or Kitchen Magicians, are people who do not apprentice themselves to licensed tattooists to learn, work out of their own homes, have little or no understanding of blood-borne pathogens and the proper methods of keeping themselves and their clients safe from disease. They are usually…[Read more]

Actually, there are no threads anywhere answering that question, mainly because I haven’t decided properly ๐
But the idea I’m leaning most towards for my back (basically because the idea it self is the biggest, and thus in need of the biggest canvas) is going to be a realistic fantasy scene. Dragon, knight/fighter of some sort, gnarly tree, eery…[Read more]

Go back in time and get it done by a better artist? ๐
Perhaps a splash of white could salvage something, but I kinda doubt it.
But how long ago did you get the tattoo? The ink will fade quite a bit for the first months. Perhaps it’s just too new for the real color to come out?
