Don’t worry too much as long as you are not swamping the scabs they will be fine.

Applying a small amount of lotion will stop the scabs from cracking. Looks like the area has been overworked a little but nice tattoo.

The area is fine to tattoo although likely to hurt more as very soft tissue area.
It is better to avoid tattooing inside the armpit because it has a high bacterial content and also the area underneath has lymphnodes which deal with immune system and is always better to leave these well alone.

You could get a religious tattoo and a ‘t’ so it reads ‘Christ’ maybe add some hearts and flowers underneath which in it reads Our Saviour or something that motivates.

I spoke with my friend who is Chinese born and he looked at the drawing for me.

He said that the top half of the tattoo means ‘middle’ and the bottom has no specific meaning in Chinese.
His wife who is a musician said it could be a take on a musical note, but is most likely just an abstract art piece.

Orange and/or black would go very well with the yellow.
Maybe just a few scales here and there to break it up and a bolder outline.

It looks good and nothing wrong with tinkering with ink I regulary had small details done on mine just to get it how I wanted.

The key to shaving on a tattooed area is 2 fold;

1. You have to really get some decent shaving gel so the blade glides. This is so you don’t slice through the skin and risk scarring your tattoo.

The sleeve looks great. The koi could do with some more shadowing and poss a bit more vibrancy on the yellow looks a little pale and washed out.

I would also add a bit more emphasis and detail on the fin and scales.

Small re-touch is all – but looking sweet.

For a cover up you would likely need to go very big to get covered over the shape and prob need a few hits with a laser if you wanted something other than very dark pigments such as black or purple.

What he means is goto an artist who is much cheaper because their artistic skills are not top notch – those artists who are good can charge more.

$500 is not so much for a tattoo when it is on your skin for life.

That amount of fine detail so close together will blur with time and you end up getting ink spread.

If you are willing to spread out the detail so that there is more space between the vegetation and have the spiderweb as the distance focus and the human in the foreground it can be done as a ok tattoo.
