That is what I mean – where the blow hole should be is just a long line. :p

You could move the line further back along the skull and mark an area for the blow hole (it will be closed as below water)

Post up your tatt when done will look sweet.

I would reckon around $400+ if you goto a respectable artist. There is a lot of fine details so I reckon around a 3 hour sitting on that at least.

This is a guestimate though.

However your technique needs refining in certain areas;

The thing that jumped out was the lining depth and grey wash that does let you down on some of your work. They need to be bolder and more use of shadowing.

I checked the ingredients and there is nothing in it that should react very badly with the tattoo unless you have uber sensitive skin but that would have also shown with the A&D.

As far as I am aware they use a machine but when I looked at the work they had done and traditional stuff there was not much between it.

Obviously the tapping method leaves a slightly more ragged puncture in the skin.

It really depends on what you are after.

It can be covered but you are going to have to go big it will need to be at least 1.5x bigger than the orig.
It will also have to be black or bright bold colours to cover it over properly.
