Hi, its my first post so a brief introduction…21 years old, one tattoo on my ring finger and one on my shoulder. Looking forward to learning more on these forums.
So I’m looking to incorporate what I have into a half sleeve.
I am a big fan of this piece and would like to work it in somehow, but if it won’t look right I’ll wait on it:
I am also not really looking for a lot of color, black and red would be ideal but I’m open to suggestions, even if it involves modifying the existing tattoo a bit.

It does kind of clash now that you mention it. I was just wondering what some of the other fourm members might do with a piece like this. I didn’t have my heart set on getting the military/peace symbol piece worked in necessarily, but it could also give an idea of the styles I like.

The work is inspired by Banksy a brit street/graffitti artist who in my opinion is shit hot in modern art.
I always like the twist that he puts on situations and think it would make a fine addition.
If you want to make your shoulder tatt more in tune you can always add a small touch of floral (petals or single flower) to the grenade.
I like it anyhow.

we have a guy here that had a banksy tattoo and it came out real nice .
i like the idea of your tattoo and if its done by the right artist it will make a cool half sleeve .
i also think it will tie in with your grenade tattoo if you add flowers , maybe sticking out of the top :rolleyes:

I’m glad to hear that it will tie in nicely :). Where do you suggest I begin looking for floral designs (sorry, still new).

Might be a bit of a travel I rang a friend who recommends Black Work Tattoo (portrait specialists)
He says they have quite a few in and around New Jersey and majority of them are very good.
I had a quick browse of their main site and liked what I saw.
Might help.
Also on the floral you just need to have a few petals floating down from the top of the grenade and maybe a single rose/orchid/tulip wrapping around it or at the bottom then the flow will be there.
