It is the unspoken tattoo ruling that a pretty lady needs a pretty dragon whilst fat ugly blokes with gold teeth get ugly looking dragons!

As healing goes it is lightly scabbed and a bit raised at the moment.

Quite sore but that after ink is not too bad – I was finding the bepanthen good just a little greasy on the skin.

The wrist again is one where some employers do not like it but it is slowly becoming more acceptable in the uk as long as the ink is not offensive.

Well polysporin is a good antiseptic on deep cuts etc but is also extremely strong and is known to lift ink if used heavily.

I personally use stuff like savlon (I am in uk) it is a med strength antiseptic cream.

As for creams I have tried:

Tattoo Goo (not recommended on this one as you have serious scabbing issues)

I think you are being way too harsh.

First of all that is one tough tattoo to cover up in terms of size and is obviously going to need a big piece to get coverage on it all.

Secondly initial outlines always look a bit crappy – because there is no detail and is just a rough guide for the artist to fill in with fine detail.

I have been trying to catch it but no luck at least now i can try and get it on a repeat or catch up as knew there was a program on tattooing but was unsure what the name was.

My mate mentioned it in passing but as he has no interest in ink he didn’t pay much attention.

To be honest I would go for something less death based for your kids.

I am not superstitious really but would feel uncomfortable having any tattoo that is closely linked to a in memory tat with my kid’s name on.

Just doesn’t sit well in the pit of my stomach.

Injun is right synthetic pigments certainly hold up much better than say 20-30 years ago.
The main thing with a tattoo is that some amount of blurring is going to occur.
If you try and cram too much detail into too small a space it will merge and blur into a blob.

I have given this some thought and based on the size of the cross tattoo have you considered this:

Get a much bigger cross done but have that small tattoo done out so it looks like a brass plaque which has been fastened to the top of the wood on the bigger cross?

You can then add the banner or name etc to the larger cross.
