Agree with the rest.
I’ve seen people end up with flesh eating bacteria in their tattoos because they were idiots and went into the woods with a fresh tattoo!!
(yes, seriously. No the tattoo didn’t make it)
You need to keep your tattoo clean, dry, away from bacteria and well… You need to not go camping with a fresh tattoo. -

They’re bad, but being embarrassed is all about your own attitude. A ton of people walk around with shitty ink.
If I were you, I wouldn’t worry about it. If someone comments it, just let them know that you’re working on it.
They’re amateur and faded, a couple laser sessions and they should be easy to cover up!
Save up the money (you got a…[Read more] -

By my understanding, tattoos are very forbidden in Islam. In fact, that is the main reason that I am planning to delay one tattoo that I have planned, as I teach many international students in my work, and I do not want to offend any of them with a visible tattoo.

Alright that’s what I thought. As far as I’m aware though there are several underground tattoo artists in Iran, my advice would be to seek out some of them, they would probably know the safest and best way to go about it.

I think it’ll be fine, I’ve talked to one of my artists about removing two tattoos he made on me, not because I don’t like them, but because the placement could be used for sooo many other, greater things, and it totally crashes with my later work. He totally gets it, and was fine with it. And hey – If the same artists get to do the new tattoo, he…[Read more]

My biggest tattoo would easily cost 5000$. Full sleeve, but done in Norway so ofc prices are a little different. Most of mine are in the 800-2000$ range. One I got in the US was 120$ an hour, but that was with a discount for various reasons. I found that to be a very good price for what I got, which was a beautiful tattoo.
Here I’m used to paying…[Read more] -

Which country are you from? Most countries where tattoos are actually legal, have tattoo shops.
And yes – Discussing these questions are forbidden on this forum and continuing to do so will lead to a ban.
If you wish to pursue tattooing, read the “So you want to be a tattoo artist” thread, and seek out a place you can learn. If tattooing is…[Read more] -

Still healing. Same with the two lines closest to it, who are also slightly darker than those next to them.
Give it a few weeks and it should be fine. But your tattoo won’t be perfectly healed until a couple of months, so some spots may still have irregularities in saturation compared to how they are going to look 100% healed for a while yet. -

No you were not ripped off.
Great artists usually charge more. 150$ is fairly normal for a good artist.
A lot of people are always gonna think your tattoo costs too much, because they don’t understand that price represents quality, and that the artist isn’t making 150$ an hour straight into his own pocket. The hourly rate is a lot lower when you…[Read more] -

I can guarantee they are not as black as the day you got them. You just don’t notice the fading because it happens slowly.
I have black tattoos myself, and they actually fade quicker than colored ones! -

Generally the outer layer of your skin re-news itself every 25-40 days or so (depending on age, health a ton of stuff) Deeper layers take longer. So, after a while your tattoo starts to heal, after it’s done peeling you get fresh, normal skin covering your tattoo. This usually takes about 2 weeks after the tattoo has been done, which is why the…[Read more]

Well if you have for a while and aren’t in a rush, why not just learn Sanskrit?!

It requires pretty deep scars before that happens. I have some that go into the bone of my leg, and they are slightly shiny and wrinkly. So no. It should heal up fine, but it may take a while.
Yes, the spots. It IS a scar. But scars heal. Know when you scrape your knees? Only the really really deep ones leave scars forever. The ones who barely…[Read more]

Well… Sort of normal. That didn’t heal very well. I can already see places it’s blown out, and judging by your amount of scar tissue, there is a chance it’s been tattooed too deeply. But impossible to know until it heals properly. All the loss of color is bad too.
Like, it’s not an emergency and you just need to let it heal completely, but I’d…[Read more] - Load More
