Just saw this so I’m sorry about the late response. The area around Clark and Belmont is pretty decent, if you’re into punk/goth/alternative stuff. There is the Chicago Tattoo Expo 2009 at Navy Pier the weekend of October 16th, 17th, and 18th I believe. It’s huge and a great time with a lot of fantastic artists. I’ll be getting some work done by a buddy who will be at the show doing some inkin’ and I’ll probably get some piercings, too 🙂

Are you in Chicago or the burbs? If you’re in the burbs, I have a great artist with 20+ years experience and he’s reasonably priced. He’s done my last 7 sittings and I love his work. Shoot me a message if you haven’t already found someone.

I went to Jade yesterday and would never walk back in. Similar experiences as previously listed and completely non-professional. I saw enough of their flash to know I have a great artist doing mine.

I was using a urinal on vacation and the guy next to me said, “what’s that on your penis”? I said, “it’s a W and a Y but when it’s hard it says WENDY”. He laughed and I looked at his and also saw a W and a Y. He said, “when it’s hard it says ‘WELCOME TO JAMAICA AND HAVE A NICE DAY'”!

I only see the “Tared” or “Jared” photo and think you should get that thing covered or reworked so it looks a bit better. That’s prime space to have a farkled-up tat!

Luckily, it’s just lined and as said earlier, you can have it fixed. Do not go back to that person and tell anyone/everyone to stay away…far away from him. Sorry you had a horrible first experience with ink.
