Hi, im nowhere new to the tattoo world with having 33 of them so far. I have them all across the front of my torso and while it did hurt pretty decently on the middle of my chest and right on the breastbone, i didnt think it was the worst or all that bad. i think on my lower sides and on the kidneys were the worst. as far as the bruising goes i have had a few do that slightly and also keep opening up as i moved around although the bruising was never really that bad. i usually find this happens when my artist gets a little bit of a heavy hand. also if your potassium level is low it can cause ya to bruise easier. try talking to your artist about it and see if they can lighten up a tad

Ya as long as your not losing too much weight, more than 30-40lbs it shouldnt affect it.

Looks cool so far. I do the same thing with my artist. He just comes up with stuff pretty much on the fly and i usually let him run with it. I occasionally throw in my two sense but he is the artist, im not, and he has his own thing going which looks awesome. He hasnt let me down once yet. Wish ya luck on the rest.

Hey Shawn. Same as what Matt said, make sure you wash it everyday and keep it moist. Dont freak out about it. The tattoo will heal and create scabs the same color as the ink and peel those colors when they are ready too. Just try and keep in mind that you dont itch or scratch it when it becomes itchy. If the itchyness starts to drive you crazy give it a couple light slaps. But dont worry if a little of the ink comes out, that is part of the touch-up that is almost always inevitable.

Ya u will be ok. I always get really anxious when it comes down to my next appointment and my heart gets going and lump in my throat. Its just nerves whether it be nervous or excited (im always excited tho lol). But just relax. Even if u have a little cold it wont affect you getting the tattoo.

the color missing on the first time is somewhat normal during healing, but twice is a little more odd however it can still happen. If it is on any scar tissue then it may be more prone to that. Let it heal and see what happens. If it is still missing ink the artist should still touch it up, but this time he may go over it better to make sure its in there.

Ya just like everyone else is saying, find the design you like or is close to want you want by google searching images or other picture sites and then have the artist manipulate the image into something completely original and to your liking. Thats what i always do. For example, the dagger on my side. I printed out about 3 or 4 different pictures that i liked and told my dude that i liked one part of one picture and another part of another picture and so on and he put together something noone else will ever have. Anyway that you do it you shouldnt have to waste your money paying an entrance fee to look or print off designs.

Ya dont worry about it. the arm is really not painful at all. the pain is like a burning sensation which isnt all that bad. the closer to the bones u are the more it will hurt, like your elbow. Even still ive got every inch of my arm covered and it wasnt that bad at all. Now my ribs and stomach were a different story, haha. Good luck on your first tattoo

Hey Oddone. Just the same as Sherav is saying. It all depends on the person as to what the pain will be like. I can tell you that down around my hips and kidneys sucked bad. It was all i could do to stay still. But then up towards my shoulder blade seemed like nothing at all to me. 30hrs is a lonnng time for getting inked and like i was saying before, im not trying to talk you out of it, but just want to caution you that you may be in for more than you expect.

The idea of the eagle sounds great in my opinion, however just like what everyone else is saying i wouldnt get the initials. As for you first tatto, you might want to reconsider the size and/or get something else small somewhere else just to get a feel for it. You dont want to start a huge peice for that and halfway thru it regret starting it. I have gotten a lot of tattoos and some of them in really painful places and have at times during them thought what have i gotten myself into. Now i stick them out but like i said ive gotten numerous ones before in less painful spots before i started going big and on my torso. Just another opinion tho. Also i agree with talking to various artist that do birds and also you may want to ask them to see a photo album of theirs. I wish you the best of luck.
