Welcome! Hey I understand where you’re coming from. My mother didn’t like my first tattoo….and I was 54 when I got it! 😀 Eventually you realize it’s your skin, your life and the best way to live it is to be true to yourself first. Post pictures of your tats if you get a chance!

Oh man, you need help big time. You’re going to need something large to cover that up effectively and that’s going to cost you some good $$$. You might look into laser removal. Black ink is the easiest to break up and disolve. Laser isn’t cheap, but you’ve actually got minimal ink, so it might be the least expensive option. Otherwise you’re…[Read more]

Hmmm, Colby Pitts, the first artist on their list is in Winchendon MA…8 miles up the road from me! I have no idea how good he is and if he is operating in my area or if he has moved to Tennessee. I’ll see if I can check him out.

You can also do a Google search on font types since there is quite a variation in script. Poke around on the web, there’s a good chance you’ll find a script that really appeals to you!

I like those ambigrams, they certainly are unique! You don’t often see those and it’s cool to find different ones like that.

Ahh, I am at work (night shift) and tried to look, but my company computer system blocks the artist images. I’ll have to take a peek at it when I get home about 2 AM. But yeah, even without looking, that’s what I’d do…pick a good size tattoo shop in a large city and see what they have. Not all good artists come from large shops, but having…[Read more]

I looked at a bunch of these images and I have to agree with X-pressive. I’m not super impressed with this artist. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate him about a 4. The line work is not very smooth, and to my mind the shading technique is of rather poor quality. I’m not sure where you live, but personally I’d visit some studios in the largest…[Read more]

The dragon looks pretty simple, especially if you’re only going for 2 colors. Of course a lot depends on size, but I’m guessing my artist would knock this off in about an hour, probably charging around $150. Your mileage may vary, depending on who you have do the work, their experience, rates, etc etc.
Judge by my pinup designs…most of them…[Read more]

Thanks for all the feedback. I really like my tattoo artist and trust him 100% that he’ll do a great job. I think that’s the hardest part of getting a tattoo…finding someone that you’re comfortable with and being willing to listen to his ideas as well. I’d highly recommend Tim to anyone who happens to be in the New England area!

I’d get Marilyn Monroe, only because I love pin-ups. She’d probably be the only really famous one though.
