Firstly: So sorry for your loss… (((((hugs)))))

Secondly: Fully possible… it’s much more common in the US then in the UK, but I think it might become more and more common in the UK too after all the exposure of the tattoartist that lost his son and chose to use some of the ashes for his memorial tattoo as it was in lots of news papers/online.

Wishing you the best of luck in finding the right tattoo artist. And I have to say that I think it’s a wonderful memorial to that.

That’s gorgeous! Was looking at some designs in the same style with hubby the other night (not that I got any plans on getting any, but they’re so fascinating).

Thank you all! The camera arrived about 40 minutes ago… and those 40 minutes have been spent opening, unwrapping and marvelling. lol! And then to wrap and pack everything back, so hubby can get the same feeling opening everything when he comes home from work. Got my fingers crossed he’ll be home early, as I’ll be tippy-toeing around the box until then, desperate to try it (I want him to take the first shots, as I know he’s even more excited about it then me)… and have been invited to an art exhibition tonight, so would be great to bring it there.

My grandmother and grandfather used to sponsor a child through SOS Children’s Villages when I grew up, so we will choose them to sponsor through. Hopefully the cheque will arrive tomorrow, then it’s straight to the bank, then straight on the phone to pay off credit cards and online to sponsor. Still feels so unreal… but atleast the camera feels real now! lol!

Would you like to pick my lotto numbers for me?

lol! Wish it worked that way… used to play the lottery (gave up due to cost), same numbers all the time… most I won as £107… played for a lot more.

Have decided to use 9k to pay off credit cards, 1k will be put into other (not the one we normally use… the one in question we only use for online shopping, and as soon as it’s done we transfer money back into it) account and sponsor a child in need. Cannot change the world with 10k, but not only will the world change for us, and we get the opportunity to make the world a little bit nicer for someone else too. The 1k will cover the sponsorship for 4 years, and by then we are hopfully in a position where £20 a month for sponsoring won’t affect us (it would have now without this win).

Oh, no… I’m torn in two… it would look amazing with just grey shades (as the outline is beautiful), but I would personally want shading on the waterlilly too… but I’d love to see it with colour too!

That’s beautiful! And yes, it does look like the middle bit has been done a shade lighter.

*gobsmacked* That’s turning out absolutely stunning – wow! Yes, I can understand the dissappointment of the “wind” that was done… but then again, if the wind hadn’t turned out the way it did, she wouldn’t be having this amazing dragon design… and it really is awesome.

Hi
adding sudocream to it is like rubbing the scab with sandpaper

Ouch! I’ll have to remember not doing that for the one I’m getting at the back of my knee… which seems to be a bit more of a problem then thought… I have to call to book it… *mutters some swearwords* So much more prefer e-mails.

^ lol! The piercing looks more painful then the tattoo for me… but then again, not having the equipment myself, I might not be the best to judge!

what did the artist advise????

Artist advised bepanthen (spelling?), but as I’ve done what mentioned above three times before (for me, and once for hubby), with quick healing (for me) and perfect outcome we thought we’d stick with what we know.

Yes, hubbys first tattoo took forever to heal. Mine have all been completely healed within 3 weeks (last one I had done as completely healed within a forthnight). This one seems to be healing quicker (2 weeks, a bit of flaking left… apart from one of the eyes which look like it will take atleast another week).

Not certain whether hubby wants the eyes re-touched, as he was in a bit of pain when the eyes were done in the first place… but if he does, then I’ll show the result. Luckily the real life cat has changing eyes, which can go from beige, to yellow, to light orange to green… so hubbys skin colour is fine. Did really like it with the green eyes though…
