A couple of notes to what you posted.

Water I drink every da,y all day.
Tried calorie counting and writing down what i’m eating. Did that for quite a few months with very little success along with working out for 30mins to an hour every evening. Not a single pound lost. Frequent meals never helped either, trust me. I’m one of those people who have probably tried everything possible without any luck.

Planning a doctor’s trip here soon for a refill on one of my prescriptions, going to be talking to her then about it and see what she says about it since nothing I’ve done has worked.

Thanks for the suggestions but trust me, i’ve tried it all already.

I had a lot of success with joining a weight loss group. In total I lost 40lbs. I found the support of the group and being accountable to someone else really motivated me. I have no self discipline so am rubbish at losing weight on my own but found that when I knew I was paying for it and I had to account to someone else the weight dropped off. I also took up running and weight training. Running has been by far the best thing I ever did, I’ve even competed in a few half marathons! Good luck with your goals.

A big load of text on your arm just will not work, no one will be able to read it, it won’t flow properly and as you get older the lines will start to sag into one another.

For your first idea you could maybe have some kind of compass (for when you get lost), is there any imagery that you automatically associate with strength?

Write down the words that you want to represent then picture them in your mind and see what images you come up with.

Clowns freak me out and yours are right up there on the creepy scale. I suppose you could use clown/circus related stuff to fill it in, red curtains, some colourful balls, depends what look your after. If you want to keep it creepy then add some scared children and spiders! I think I need a lie down now! 🙂

I disagree. Perhaps something like the The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo, which has it’s own intrinsic artistic value is one thing, but crosses, rosary beads, and so forth are something else entirely. Those are symbols of faith and if you don’t believe and still get them inked, you’re just a poser. Sure, its’ your body and you can do as you wish – but you’re still a poser.

I was more referring to depictions of saints etc rather than a straight up cross when I referred to an artistic style.I see what you mean about things like crosses and rosary beads. To be honest when I see someone with a cross tattoo (mostly celtic style around here) I don’t automatically think christian, but that could be because I’m so far removed from religion that those symbols don’t have any meaning to me. That’s why I wouldn’t have it on me, to me those symbols are just uninteresting but more power to what anyone else wants to do, just don’t give me some bullshit reason about how you’ve been the most devout christian your whole life (when you know you haven’t), just admit you were drunk, young, trying to impress someone, your mum said the only tattoo you could have was a cross or in the words of D3FIANC3, you’re a poser! And those people that do have faith and wish to express it on their skin then I’m all for that too!

I honestly couldn’t be sure, but like I said they don’t look sore and if they aren’t itching then I wouldn’t be worried. Leave it for a few days and see if they go down by themselves.

It’s hard to really tell from that picture. I think they look like goose bumps! If you get a better picture that would be great but they don’t look red or angry and if they aren’t itchy I wouldn’t be too worried at the moment.

Of course that advice is based on a really fuzzy picture and I am by no means a Dr or a tattoo expert! 🙂

Where were you thinking of? Do you want it somewhere that can be easily covered or in a more prominent position? Something that size will pretty much work anywhere, so you have a full choice. I think back tattoos that are off centre look really nice, but that’s just me. 🙂

If you want loads of detail then the bigger the better, it depends how much skin you want to take up but I’m sure you could take this idea to a pretty awesome full sleeve.

I love Japanese tigers, you couldn’t go far wrong with that IMO.

Welcome. I’m in the UK so no help for any artists for you but hope your search is fruitful!

I’m of the opinion that if you like something, even if it’s just the look of something, and it’s your body then do whatever the hell you like. Not every tattoo has to have some deep meaningful story behind it. I wouldn’t have a problem with someone with religious art work on them as long as when I asked why they gave me the real reason be it “I’m super religious and this means that etc” or “I just love this style of art”.

Are you male or female? If female I think it could look quite nice offset on your back.

Do you plan to keep it simple like that or let the artist turn it into something more detailed? Colour or stay black?

If you do the laser first you will have so many more options for your sleeve. If you really like having your daughter’s name you could have that put back after laser but have it done soooo much better. Imagine you wrote your daughter’s name out on a piece of paper but it didn’t look exactly how you wanted it, would you

a) Spend ages going over the top of it trying to fix it to look good and end up with loads of heavy dark lines which don’t resemble what you really had in mind

or b) Rub it out and start again

The choice is yours but I’m with mrchen. Go for the laser option.
