Gotta agree with the last two on the latter part of your question.
I agree with the concept more than you could know – one of the most important people in my world died last month and your proposed quote is the one sentence that has been tossed around my head ever since – so it’s not that I’m not sympathetic to whatever your reasons are believe…[Read more]

Haha 🙂
Yeah exactly. Aesthetically, I think it’d make an astounding tattoo. With regards to tattoos, none of the Beatles covers would work as well as that an album cover imho (unless you had a giant Revolver cover, that’d be pretty cool!), and there isn’t one specific one that I’d pick, my favourite album of theirs is the white album which’d be a…[Read more] -

Hmm, never heard the thing about the toxins (eek!), but after my next big piece, I’m having two smaller tattoos in one sesh, and all three (big and two small) will be in the space of a few days (unless I run outa money) – so I don’t think it matters too much!

Ahh the ‘tramp stamp’ debate gets me heated haha.
As of recently, I am the proud owner of one of these controversial tattoos.
I’ll just add that I’m not a slut, don’t sleep around or wear trashy clothes etc, whether or not that is the issue in question.
I had the design for this tattoo done before I decided on the placement. There is an image on…[Read more] -

I agree with the above, that you don’t sound too ready yet. I’m sure you’ll be fine getting the ink, as I said in my other post, but I’d recommend getting the final design and placement decided upon and sitting on that for a while before getting it inked for good, but the general idea is great. As for tattooists in London – the best (so I hear,…[Read more]

Sorry if I’ve missed anything, skim read the thread, do you mean the album cover? If so, absolutely awesome, and so weird – I was looking at the album yesterday thinking the cover would make a great tattoo in the centre of my back, but it wouldn’t fit in with what else I have going there. But, on a tall skinny guy, I would say between shoulder…[Read more]

Oh dear… how old are you? That’s a very naive and immature decision to make – you should always sit on a design for a good while before getting it inked, as tempting as it is to rush out and get something once you’ve designed it, but why someone would book an appointment without knowing what they want yet makes no sense! You do realise that…[Read more]

Try looking at pics of irezumi (japanese tattoo art) – koi carps and things feature a lot in that like this – http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/29/Irezumi_Tattoo.jpg – you could incorporate that sort of thing. It all really depends on the size and style you’re after, it’s virtually impossible to give ideas when I don’t know what size…[Read more]

I have been worrying about the same issue – I am doing a degree atm with intention of going into teaching – and I’m desperate to get a couple of bits on my arm that have been designed for a while, but don’t want to end up having to wear long sleeves on sweaty days, so I’m holding off until I’m in the job and know what their etiquette is on visible…[Read more]

It’s not my cuppa tea either, the point about the lighting is correct and I dislike the solidity of it on that place of the body, it doesn’t look right to me, and I think visible ink is pretty reckless to get if you’re not in a steady career where you know it’s not gonna be a problem. You’ve shut a lot of doors on your future, and that may get to…[Read more]

1. My mum (died last month, can’t wait to see her again)
2. George Harrison
3. John LennonFeel guilty for not having my Grannie in there, she died last month too, but presumably she’ll be with my mum so I’d see her then anyway, and can’t pass up a chance to meet two of the greatest musicians of all time!

It isn’t but you can get drugs in childbirth to make it better 😉
Nah, honestly, I think you’ll be fine, without wanting to be sexist against my own gender, guys often seem to deal with pain better than girls, and I know plenty of girls that say getting tattooed isn’t that bad.
If it’s a smaller tattoo then it won’t matter anyway because the…[Read more] -

Haha… well I hear a lot of people saying the same, so I think I’m a rogue wimp honestly, well when you think about it a deep cat scratch is actually pretty painful (or I think so anyway!) and I guess in a way it is like that but instead of one scratch it’s hundreds of scratches over and over again on the same spot for X amount of hours – that’s…[Read more]
