Hi
First of all I would suggest the back as it is a wider space to work a complex tattoo on and won’t look too crowded on the area as can spread out.
The design that sprang to mind was a pair of female cupped hands facing outwards. (This would represent you as the mother).
In the palms you could have 3 butterflies floating off the palms each…[Read more]

replied to the topic How long does a new tattoo feel warm to the touch? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 17 years ago
Hi
24 – 48 hrs is fairly normal it depends on how much the area has been worked and the swelling will go down accordingly.
The first week will see plenty of peeling so don’t worry about that but if you find it still hot to the touch after 2 days you may need to get a Dr to check it over for infection.

Hi
Truth is a lot of employers dislike visible tattoos and especially so when it is face to face customer work.
I have changed jobs 5 times in my life and 4 (incl present employer) out of 5 have a zero visible ink policy.
I would advise getting it on upper arm as long sleeves in summer is such a killer.Take Care

Just to give things a bit of a bump.
I have added my ebook to wordpress under Sherav’s Blog.
It will cover just about all the basic questions on tattooing a newcomer might have so feel free to use it.
I know the layout of the blog needs work and will re-organise as I get time to make it more ‘book-like’ in the meantime bear with me as I learn…[Read more]

Hi
Before you listen to anything just write this down and slap it on your computer where you can see it.
INK IS FOR LIFE!
The biggest mistake a lot of people make is that they get their first tattoo with little or no thought to what they want.
I have nothing against flash – a lot of it is great and make very nice tattoos. That said you don’t…[Read more]

Hi
If I am being honest my personal opinion is fuck what anybody else thinks about your tattoo.
If you like the tattoo but are being pressurised about it then tell to bollocks.
There is nothing wrong with lower back tattoos and it is not a ‘tramp’ ‘slut’ or ‘whore’ stamp. The same way my tattoos do not mean that I have spent a life behind bars…[Read more]

Hi
KH is right the pigment they use to make the white ink is not as strong as other pigments because it is not made from a metal extracted salts which is much harder to breakdown than other organic or synthetic pigments.
This means it can go a yellow colour or just fade away at a much faster rate.
I have done a stack of research for my…[Read more]

Hi
As KH said it takes time for the ink to settle into the skin.
The main thing is keep an eye on the milky areas if they start to weep or show signs of red streaks you have an infection and need to get some anti-biotics asap.
If it just remains milky until peeled you will be fine just keep it very clean and lotion it regular.
I am sure it…[Read more]

Hi
Yes first of all get a second and if necessary third opinion from different artists.
You need to find an artist who is experienced in doing reworks and cover-ups before you consider lasering.
Also flesh coloured tattoos are variable at best and can often making a tattoo look worse as it never quite fits in with the rest of the skin.

Hi
It would be helpful to have a photograph.
It could be several things just make sure you keep it clean and make sure it doesnt spread or get any bigger. If it is not healing in a few days i advise you seek emdical attention as a priority to be on the safe side.
