Yes I noticed that Liz’s page describes that a tattoo idea has to be submitted and “accepted” before moving forward, which that is sort of off-putting but then I guess that’s the whole purpose.

Hmm. How long a wait is long enough to move on to a different shop? I contacted rebel muse and haven’t heard a peep yet but it’s only been a couple days.

Thanks for the feedback. Its giving me a more positive outlook. I just feel like I’m so out of my league, trying to find a surgeon when all I need is a band aid. But all I read is that artist choice is so critical, and so, I’ll try to trust someone again. Anyway, I hope to hear back soon from the shop I emailed, hopefully they dont just ignore me.

U r right. I will reach out to a shop to satisfy curiosity and see what response I get, as to whether they will be open to a rework or add on, without it being a large piece.

Anybody have any experience working with a highly skilled artist for a one time small tattoo? Do they tend to pass them off to the lesser skilled artists?

Thanks. I really like the cannibal graphics guys but the site says they have a minimum of 3 hours and $300…is that normal for the really good tattooers? I’m confused about how to get a really great small tattoo…the great tattooers seem to do mainly custom large pieces.

Um wow the Texas artists r unbelievable. I feel like I’d be wasting their time with my little crap tattoo. How does an artist like those feel about seeing a client with much smaller scale vision for a tiny piece, especially a rework or adding to something existing that’s not up to their quality?
