I’m just ganna add again that you are lucky about getting something half decent or atleast meaning nothing. I was at a tattoo shop with a friend and someone there was joking about covering up his chinese symbol with a large bomb because instead of meaning what he wanted (I forget) it actually meant spicy mustard and was rather large on his back. hahha

As everyone else has said it’s safe to do. My right arm design is working towards a very similar design placement and I’ve gotten some of the real sensitive parts their done but it’s nothing you can’t handle I’m sure.

I’ve only had my arms upper tattood but I’ll agree the inner bicep was def more painful then the rest of the arm. The dark area near the armpit in this pic def wasn’t fun though at all. I was expecting the shoulder and back area to hurt but I hardly noticed/found them relaxing.

In the end it’s worth it though, always remember that.:)

I have a friend with both arms mostly covered in individual tattoos but neither arm is sleeved yet. He wants to get them sleeved but since his tattoos were all done one at a time it’s very difficult for him to connect them. If you go with individual tattoos that is perfectly fine and will look good but he gave me this advice and I’ll pass it on to anyone that when you get a piece done let the artist know you want to add to it later and connect it into a sleeve. Even if you don’t want to you are at least given the option later on to easily add to your tattoo to form a sleeve or connect your tattoos together.

Hope that helps.

Here is a pic of his right arm to show what I mean.

In traditional japanese tattoos the direction of w/e you are getting done and the elements colors around it etc etc are somewhat important. I’m not sure for the koi the but if you go to a tattoo artist who is experienced with japanese tattoos (especially one who travels to japan to study under an artist there) they can easily help you out with any of your questions.

BIKERinBLACK77 to do that all you have to do is go to http://www.lmgtfy.com (let me google that for you) and type in the search and it’ll give you a link to give someone. It’s great for those naggy friends who ask really simple questions a lot.

I’d also like to add please do not go back to this guy to see how it looks with color. From the looks of what he has done so far the best thing you can do is stay as far as possible from this “artist”.

Right now there isn’t to much ink done and a cover is very doable but if you add messy color in their it will only make it much much more difficult.

Hope all turns out well.

Honestly it’s hard for anyone here to really say yes or no. Do you have a good sample of your work uploaded online somewhere so we can see it possible?

Generally weight loss and gain won’t effect a tattoo as long as it’s not in any form of extreme time period. Rapid loss or gain can cause the skin not the adjust properly but slow/steady loss/gain shouldn’t effect a tattoo.

Will weight gain or loss affect my tattoo?
Any tattoo can be affected by changes in size of the body, but the good news is that it’s usually not that noticeable. Tattoos can be very forgiving, and if the weight gain or loss occurs slowly enough, this gives your tattoo time to “adjust”. Imagine a balloon with a logo on it – I’m sure you’ve seen them. The logo appears essentially the same when the balloon is full as it is when it’s deflated, with maybe a slight difference in depth of color. Your skin will usually not undergo as much size change as a balloon, so the changes in your tattoo should be even less visible. Your skin is very elastic and stretches and contracts without much incidence, in most cases.

Not my style personally but that’s some nice ink and great colors.

Yea I couldn’t find an exact image I wanted so I worked with Natan a little bit and this is what he came up with. Still have to get windbars (most likely) on the shoulders and a lot of detail in the background and fill the mask in red. I’ll be going back in a month or two to finish it up when I have the time and cash but he did enough shading for it to stand on its own for now.

Heres a few close up pics I tried getting if you want to check out the line work (if possible, fucking camera phone)

I’m in the same boat. Scheduled my next tattoo maybe a month ago and tomorrow is the date and you get those excited jitters. I can’t fucking wait but at the same time your nerves are going at it.

Post pics when you got it.
