Hi
I would say that they are easily fixable ou just need to add some more highlights to them using white or maybe line some smoke effect in blue along the edges.
The tiger is nicely coloured in so it is only the wind bars that need to be reworked a little.

Well I think you have some pretty sweet ink done there.
Definite thumbs up for them.

PS I was wondering about the sword as at first I thought it was a Turkish sabre – but yes the gladius was a very basic weapon and the handles are tiny. i think adding more handle gives it a much better look.

Hi
The first 2 tattoos look fine – although I would add some extra shading on the features of the big cats.
Those wind bars – hard to see from that picture but my advice would be get them relined and add some reshading and possibly white highlights to them.
They certainly need more definition. Post up some clearer pics and will prob be able to…[Read more]

Hi
As a tattoo it looks fine.
By not looking as you wanted do you mean the design?, colouring/shading? or the linework?
Adding to that sort of tribal is no problem and you can go crazy on complexity if extending over the shouler and collarbone.
A cover-up will be extremely difficult and would likely need several expensive and painful laser…[Read more]

Hi
I have as friend who is from Hong Kong but is fluent in Chinese and used to work as a translator. I will ask him to PDF me the characters for power and strength in both ancient and modern.
That way you can check them against your tattoo.

Hi
Ok I will break down my suggestions into teh relevant parts of the tattoo as each bit needs it’s own touches.
These are just constructive criticisms.

These could do with some reshaping and possibly a little more detail adding to them. Have you considered adding the clubs, hearts, spades, diamonds symbol to the centre as an extension…[Read more]

Hi Safe
That is certainly a way to do it. The main thing is to either get teh full design downloaded or take the picture(s) or inspiration to your chosen artist to draw up for you.
There are several free sites you can use as well as google images, deviant art and even books from the library filled with tattoo designs.
What are you thinking of…[Read more]

replied to the topic question about inner wrist tattoo in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 17 years ago
Hi
Most tattoos need a reshade evry 10-15 years to keep them looking crisp.
Wrist tattoos because of wear and tear as well as washing can start to fad within as little as 5-6 years (everybody is different).
It really depends on how much exposure it gets to sunlight, water, and general wear of the skin.
The smaller the tattoo the more chance…[Read more]

Hi Safe
Well you chose a massive area to cover so will try and break it down.
Tattoo Design
There are usually 2 main forms of deciding a tattoo design. The first is custom design and the second is a flash design.
Custom – This is a design unique to you and can be drawn up by yourself or the artist. Inspiration can come from the internet,…[Read more]

replied to the topic Hand tat, colour, help. ๐ in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 17 years ago
Hi
Hand tattoos do fade very rapidly because of the constant wear and tear of the skin and the washing.
Also you have to ask do you want a mushroom on your hand when you are 70?That said if you do go with it I would advise against using a lot of green ink as this has a issues of looking very blotchy as time goes on.

Hi
I have long studied the issue of religion and tattooing.
In brief it works like this;
Abraham who came out of what is now the Iran area became the first Jew (I use it loosely as the term did not exist then as it was Hebronites etc).
There was a common practise that many tribes and other cultures would perform scarification and tattooing to…[Read more]

Hi Agiro
There is a simple answer and a more complex one.
The simple answer:
No. You would have to gain/lose a massive amount of weight in a short period of time to affect the size and shape of a tattoo.
Complex answer:
Tattoos do blur and ‘widen’ a little with age. This is because the ink spreads so if you get very fine lines there is a…[Read more]

replied to the topic is tattoo ink vegetarian and/or vegan? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 17 years ago
Hi
Yes vegan(ic) belief can include anything that is derived from animals directly or indirectly.
I went away to do some more research, and even phoned a manufacturer and asked them.
It seems that the pigments used are not based on animal products directly. Some of the older inks (60’s) may have used an extracted product containing fish…[Read more]

Hi
Personally I would go with the first picture.
That said all ‘in memory of’ tattoos are perhaps one of the most serious subjects and should be considered very carefully.
My advice is look at several tattoos and designs that have the base image that you want.

All meaning and thought aside.
The ink is well executed and nice line work. Ideally I would like closer pics of it if possible. I particulary like the font used.
