“Cliche” would be a butterfly emerging from it’s coccoon.
How about all your new found emotions flying out from their containment in a box (Pandora’s?) or even a can where they were “canned up” such as a tuna or even “Spam”.

I suggest two elephants of diminishing size like they are walking behing this one. I wouldn’t suggest them holding trunks and tails.
