i prefare to use Dettol in a small spray bottle, once its on and left to dry for about a minute or so then it aint going anywhere, i generally place the stencil then setup my needle and tube in the machine to gain a little drying time, dab the area with a dry tissue, place thin smear of vasaline……your all set to go 😉

hi buddy,
i totally agree with matthew on your shading etc.
looking through the oieces within this post and the ones within your members gallery, i have to say that you will need to spend more time studying all aspects of life and still subjects, the hand is anatomically incorrect and this is something that you wil need to pay special attention…[Read more] -

i wont be nasty like i was thinking of being, and with the wording in your post then you certainly know that you should not have let them do it in the first place.
if they kept saying that they need to alter the needle depth then they obviously dont know what they are doing yet, and as for the comment the ink isnt taking yet…. it sounds to me…[Read more]

replied to the topic Tipping for larger tattoos…? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 17 years, 2 months ago
there are no rules and there is no set percentage for tipping the artist..
if you want to tip them then feel free to do so.
its nice to get tipped, it lets us know your happy.. even if it is just enough for a drink 😀 -

instaead of keep coming back into this thread to read it, if you right click on it and select “save as” and save it to your computer, you can print it out and keep it as a book .
ps….. please stop refaring to the machines as guns… they dont shoot anything out and kill people 😉

i would still recommend the use of a pencil in the machine to start with, get used to how it feels and moves with the weight of the machine. you can place a grip onto the pencil as well to make it more like the real thing, then once you have practiced the lines and circles and you think its looking good with the paper wrapped around a bottle….…[Read more]

as you have been warned about the niggling pain, and the dont use asprin, alcohol ot weed…. i would sugest that you have had a good full breakfast with plenty of carbohydrates and also a sugary drink, also take with you a fizzy drink such as coke, the sugar rush will help prevent your body going into natural shock as it is quite a large piece…[Read more]

you will most probably find that the artist will give you an hourly rate rather than a set price on such a large piece as it will take more than one sitting to complete.

i dont take a hard stance towards beginners….even im still learning…. i just want them to realize that there is more to this artform than buying a kit off ebay and spreading hepatitis or something worse from a soft furnished shit hole and having heigyne worse than a ferrets arse…..
if i do go off on a tangent at a member then it is…[Read more]

welcome to the forum,
i think i might be one of those that frown down but i dont forget my roots…..its a very long ride on a crazy train trying to get anywhere in the tattoo scene, my advice would be to learn how your machines work and why they work, strip them down and rebuild them… make sure you know it inside out and back to front just…[Read more]
