I have to agree with the whole “employer” makes the rules as much as it sucks they lay down the law. Here in the states you can be inked to high hell and be in the armed forces as long as they do not go past the “rubber band” test witch is a rubber band placed on your wrist and the tat can not extend past it, but an employer can fire you for having the smallest visible ink if they so deem it. I think its BS but thats how it is.
On the other hand it sounds like there is a bit of discrimination going on here if they men in the company are not being questioned about there body are yet you are. Id be pointing that out to your boss, in a mellow manner that is, if the rule is being stressed for one it should be stressed for all.

How about using a shadow effect on it so it looks like its slightly raised off your wrist you can use a deeper shade of the pink on one side and a small shadow on the other that may help the color to stand out as well as give it some depth maybe.

It can be a very painful place to get one done especially for your first one. Its a slow process as the artist has to work with your breathing.

That rose is no more than mediocre, so I’ll disagree with you that he’s ‘hella good’.

Now, this forum does not allow unlicenced tattoo discussions, so nobody here is going to give you or your friend advice on how to make that into a real tattoo, but I wonder exactly what you were thinking deciding to get a cover-up done, but saved design of the actual covering-up for last. The colors in a cover-up will have to be chosen based on what can actually cover what is underneath, and nobody here is going to answer that question.

As for a general answer.. it’s a rose. I love red and blue roses and I’d most likely have any rose on me red. Whether or not that works as a cover-up color, is a totally different story.

^^^^Ya what he said^^^^^
