dammmmmmit KH….. you had to push beyond them sacred boundries …. you mentioned the words “zombie pinup girl” and now im thinking of drawing one up for my next ink fix lol..

I seriously want to see it.

Also, has anyone noticed that the first tattoo or even the first 2 tattoos involve all the angst of “I want something with meaning” or “I want it to be special”. I’m now to the point of, “holy shit that would be cool” Or, “I like those colors” or, “that would scare the Christians”

So many possibilities

My first tattoo was a smilie face, surrounded by tribals, with the text “I Feel Pretty”.

Because it’s funny, dammit.

Your first tattoo my man is almost exactly like your first fuck. Some people want it to be special, to mean something, others just want to get it done and over with to kill the suspense, and others just fucking thank god it’s finally happening. Either way, you go in, fumble around, try to figure out how the whole thing is supposed to work, and at least half the time, you spend the rest of your life regretting it. Either way, it’s got more angst than it really calls for.

And just like your first fuck, it’s only special by virtue of being your first.

Love. Peace. Metallica.

No pressure, right? I think I ought to get paid for my services. I accept donations in form of gift cards to Lambadi City, or copies of Mass Effect 2.

I think half of the fun is the process of planning what to get, researching pictures/photos, going through the consultation and then actually getting the tattoo.
My problem is that I want several tattoos and I don’t know where to start. LOL

You know one of the things I always fancied as a thigh piece was a steam-punk pin up girl. My wife would savage my balls off though – pin-ups are def off the list 🙁

Soo… a half-naked Geisha on your lower back is fine but no steam-punk pin-up?. Oh, I get it, you have a hard time looking at your geisha XD.

That is spot on actually I managed to convince her that the geisha was a cultural part of the tattoo and I had to stick a robe on her (as the orig idea was that she was naked).

My wife still hates that part of the tattoo and should I get a sexy pin up I would def be pushing the boundaries way too far :p

Bahaha, this is seriously funny!

That said, I know the pain all too well. I thought I’d be done after the fishie but now its originally intended location looks so empty, ditto for the other shoulder cap, and I have this cool idea for a lower back tattoo, and then I saw this girl with a great tattoo on the outside of her calf… never mind I have a quote to work in somewhere and I recently had a chance meeting with the owner of the studio I had my fishie done at… oh dear!

Out of curiosity Matthew man, what’s the difference between titties and culturally relevant titties? Is it like how you can take “sexy” naked pictures of toddlers if you call it art?

Dude that is taking something way too far!

There is no way that pics of naked kids can be considered art or anything other than what it is which is a fucking sick perversion. An adult can decide whether to get their kit off a child is exploited for some predator pervert.

Anybody disagrees and tries to say it is ‘art’ and I will ban their arse for life and this is something that is not open for negotiation.

As for the titties thing there was actually no titties in the orig picture I gave my artist she was naked but with her back turned.

He chose to put some titties in and I asked him to robe her to keep my wife happy. Many Japanese prints show geisha and I happen to like pretty women.

I don’t lie about it if I see a naked woman and they are beautiful I will say I like it I don’t particulary consider it ‘art’ it is respectable soft porn for the ages. Lets face it no tv no film or magazines men liked to look at plump naked ladies on canvas and to keep their wives happy they called it art.

However I am not afraid to say I like looking at pretty ladies who are 18+.

I totally understand your reaction–it about sums up my own. In the United States it’s totally, 100% legal to take pictures of small children that I personally can’t differentiate from soft core child porn as long as you call it art. The douchnozzle whose work I was introduced to in art school said that that visceral reaction is the point of his work, that anger that’s caused by repressed sexual urge. Well, he got what he wanted–he’s on my “If met, beat mercilessly” list. That’s a pretty visceral reaction ain’t it?

Which was kinda my point. I can’t see the difference between art and porn–that’s not a value judgement. Porn can be art if well done. But titties is titties and twat is twat, and I thought the comparison was funny. Guess not, and I apologize for offending you.

I only like offending people when it’s on purpose.

Love. Peace. Metallica.

Hi KH

Actually I should apologise whilst I stand by what I have said it was put forward as an unrestrained rant rather than objectively.

I understood the point you were trying to make but let my personal feelings get in the way of things. As for the twat who is talking about ‘suppressed sexual urges’ I think they are talking about themselves and trying to justify their grubby guilt-ridden urges by smearing others.

People like that are just scum – they cannot admit that they are a pervert so try and dress it up as something acceptable. They deserve a savage beating as does any person who allows the pictures to be taken (legal or not).

You are in fact correct there is no real difference between art and soft porn (or even hard porn in some instances). The main argument is whether the focus of the subject is one of sexual gratification or not but again as stated titties are titties and a penis is a penis in my opinion so I do not dress it up as anything other than that.

You have not caused me lasting offence and lets face it the forum is there to challenge us on our opinions.
