I would wait. The weight loss after gastric bypass occurs in most cases too fast for your skin to compensate for and depending on how overweight you are you may have some excess flesh that will have to be removed.
My mom had this done and lost over 200 pounds in six months, but the excess flesh never shrunk up.
Wait to see how things look when…[Read more]

sounds good. I’d like to see it. If you go to a pro shop they should be able to get you what you want fairly easy. Show pics when you get it done.

It depends on the tattoo. Your getting dangerously close to the unlicensed tattoo discussion ban. I can’t really answer the question without discussing techniques. In most cases the tattoo can be fixed. Sometimes it requires adding to it, sometimes reworking what is already there. Lets leave it at that. If Outlaw wants to answer in more…[Read more]

That makes sense really. If you’re proud of your work, you want it to look good always so others see how good it is.Awesome policy really.

Its not too complex and it would make an amazing piece. However, you’ll need to go large. I would go no smaller than two and a half times larger than the picture as it is posted on this thread. I would also not do it on the shoulder. I would do it on the center of the back and make it the focal point of the back pattern with everything else…[Read more]

Its not uncommon to get tattoos facing you. I personally find it a little odd…not really sure why, I guess its just personal opinion, but its not uncommon. I do a lot of tattoos facing the client. At least a quarter of the wrist and forearm jobs.
As for your second question, there is some truth in it. I can’t really explain the medical…[Read more]

Its more than that Munin. There was a point to what I wrote. I own and run a tattoo studio. I perform about 60-70% of all tattoos that come out of this studio. I have an artist who is damn good and I’m glad to have him, but I AM looking for an apprentice.
Here’s the deal though. I’m not going to spend the next year to 5 years apprenticing…[Read more]

Honestly, my business has picked up enough that I’m looking for an apprentice…and I’ve turned every single one down who has come in here to ask. They bring in some half ass drawings, with their cocky attitude, don’t have a penny to get ink done, and have no interest in even seeing my work. They just want to land a gig that pays real…[Read more]

Welcome to the forum. Sorry, no help for you here on learning to tattoo. You are on the wrong site for that. If you are working in a pro shop, PM TurboSatan and get the details on what you need to provide to join a pro artist group, where those things can be discussed. Otherwise, refrain from that type of conversation here or your posts will…[Read more]

Well, its pretty simple really, you find a category that interests you, browse the recent discussion and comment on what interests you there. Start new conversations by discussing things tattoo or piercing related and respond to the responses.
Forums are like chat rooms, only you have to wait for the responses. If you haven’t already then go to…[Read more]

We’ll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We’ve both already been trained in BBP so we’re not going to that seminar. Saturday we’ll leave early to go to the Addison Improv.
