Elbows and arm ditches are not fun. Not only does it hurt pretty bad, but its sooo uncomfortable while those areas heal. For some reason i got both those areas on both arms completely filled…

I didnt find the tops of my hands that bad, but i had the fingers on my right hand done, and i would not recommend that area for anyone not good with pain!

Yes, for a tattoo to be a sleeve, it must cover a significant portion all the way around your arm, much like the sleeve of a shirt. Alot of people these days seem to get medium-large peices on their arms and still call them sleeves even though they dont wrap around…. those people are wrong 🙂

Sleeves are a big investment in time and money, you had better be prepared to sit for many sessions and for many hours at a time. Its also not going to be cheap and could easily cost $2000 or more, depending on the artist. While im all for getting larger tattoos for your first, i wouldnt recommend a sleeve as your first.

1. Some laster sessions would allow for more options with the coverup

IMO scarification is really only interesting because of the process and amount of pain. The end result seems really underwhelming, and if anything, just ugly. Just doesnt seem worth it compared to tattooing.
