Yeah I wouldn’t want to end up having to get a cover up done. He just looked at me like he’d never ever seen someone bring him a custom design in his life. Especially after reading up on their website and it stating that all of the artists can do them, and are also into the freehand as well.

Have any of you ever gotten rejected because you didn’t have enough pictures for a custom design?

Thanks for the advice , I thought it was a little crazy when he knew how long the sitting would be, yet wouldn’t even draw out a little rough idea from what I gave him without wanting more. I’m going to pop into another place tomorrow and see what they say.

I saw some of the work around the shop before I went up and asked about my design, but the thing is I brought in a tattoo picture with a muscle that I wanted to be drawn up, but obviously with it to just be unhealthy. And brought another one in with ripped edges for an idea on how it would come out on the edges.

I know it would be helpful for images to be around and I basically got the most important idea the muscle picture, I guess I just don’t understand why he wouldn’t even try and draw it out for an idea really, but he could tell me how long it would take.

The page wouldn’t load for me so not really much help there. I’d say the best bet would just pop into the place where you’d like to get the tattoo done and print off the picture you want and just ask them roughly how much it would cost depending on the size and if you want colour or not, and all the other things.

Going into a tattoo place I’ve heard/seen great things from to hopefully be getting an appointment and my design drawn up tomorrow. Its going to be on the inner side of my left upper arm. You know like those bio mechanical tats, except inside will be a human muscle and not mechanical things. And the muscle inside is going to be unhealthy/bruised/weak that kind of thing and all in colour.
I’ve wanted it for quite a while now since as a kid I was very sick from 2-3 years old in the hospital with a fatal disease that basically my immune system attacked all of my red blood cells leaving me with no muscle mass what so ever and bed ridden for a lot of the time. Basically getting this done for a milestone to show how far I’ve come since then and how I’m achieving so much in my life when I was told I’d always have problems.

Wow great work in progress there, have anything to keep you occupied for those 6 hours at all? I’m sure it will be more than an amazing feeling/piece when its finally finished off ey.
Still if you’re finding it difficult to reach all of it then maybe ask a friend/family member/girlfriend/boyfriend if they could help you out with keeping it in good shape?

Its not so noticeable that 1 is higher than the other its not the only thing you look at when seeing them. Still great work and looking forward to the finished project! Are you only getting shading on both? They would look just as good with colour I think.

I think people with them on the wrists ( that aren’t a partners name ) are really beautiful depending on the design. I have to say people who get their partners name written there are just asking for trouble. I mean you never do know what could happen and well my mum has a tattoo on her wrist with her ex boyfriends name on, although she got lucky there because its a chinese symbol and looks like the word joy.

Glad the colour works for you guys. I’d post the two tattoo’s I have now, but they are very generic and simple. Although I’m going to be going to my local tattoo place and hopefully get some time with one of the artists that work there so they can draw out my new tattoo idea I have and hopefully after that, be able to book it in for ASAP. So I will definitely be getting photo’s of my upcoming design since I’ve thought of it by myself and its personal to me. Edit – I put up my photos for my existing tattoo’s anyway, Actually planning on getting a touch up done on my elbow tat. Not very happy with it.

It doesn’t look infected to me. Did the artist give you a talk on how to look after the tattoo before you left? Look on here for a good guide on how to look after it if you don’t remember. But as long as you put some moisturizer on the area ( some cream without a lot of chemicals and such in is best ) and just make sure you wash it with soap and water for a couple of days and remember to pat it dry instead of rub dry. And when it starts to scab over don’t even try and pull it off since it won’t do any good. Like I said, just make sure you keep it clean and put some cream on it. Anticeptic cream would also do.

If you do all that, but are still worried after 3/4 days then you should go back to the place where you got it and talk to the guy who did it.

At the end of the day its up to you what you want to get tattoo of. I mean you are going to be the one wearing it for the rest of your life. If you really do want ‘Live.Laugh.Love’ as a tattoo around the wrist/feet then maybe write it on in pen wherever you want it and see what it looks like and maybe keep it on for a day or two to see if you really do want it. Also if its just writing you want, then I’d suggest looking at some fonts so you could pick out one you like.
If you still want it after all of this, then just go back and tell the guy its what you want and if he isn’t happy to do it go somewhere else.
