Jag har läst svenska för 8 år nu, but as I’m Finnish I _still_ can’t speak or write it properly… and as a matter of fact I couldn’t even be less bothered about it. No-one here speaks swedish except for those guys in Åland and whatnot.

Some new stuff.
“Liskojen Yö” The exact translation would be “Night of the lizards” but really it means Delirium Tremensis “the shakes”.

Oh well, it ain’t that bad. A lot of my friends have said that it can be quite rewarding if you go there in the right mood ie. not taking stuff too seriously 🙂

Thanks! I’m really, really happy with this. Every time I look at it I’m like… DAMN this is goood 😀
The healing process has begun quite nicely. Old skin has started to flake off and a bit of scabs have appeared, but the artist told that it’s normal and shouldn’t effect the tat unless I scratch or rub it.
After this is completely healed I’ll go back to the guy to check if some parts need some recoloring or such and then he’ll take photos so I can show it off in the internet haha :p

Thanks! Well I’d want to, but you never know 😀 In finland it’s extremely hard to get apprenticeship in a parlour, but I think I might give it a try after some years of drawing practice and after I’ve been to the army (every finnish male has to, not that I’d like it so much… :D).

The artist drew it basing on a few drawings of mine and this image: http://www.grim-fandango.com/image.php?image=/concept/concept3.jpg , but I told him that he could modify them at will. And so he did, and I’m very happy that he did 😛

Sherav: Yeah the eyes and the hat need some work also.
As my first tattoo I’m getting an old-school titanic-like steamboat with an aztec figurehead and faces on the funnel pipes(chimneys? funnels? whatever…) on the back of my forearm. Takes about five hours to finish and it costs like hell, but it’ll definetly be worth it as the sketch drawn by the artist I saw earlier was pure awesomeness.

Butterfly_Kisses: Thanks! I haven’t drawn butterflies that much, but maybe I’ll give it a try when I’m in the mood 🙂

Thank you for the feedback :)!

My friend turns 18 next saturday so I decided to do a birthday card for him.

The text says: “Happy Birthday Lauri!” in finnish.

I somehow managed to f*ck up the contrast in this one, but I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
The paper I’m using is still some low grade watercolour paper, so it began to “wear” as I added more layers. That reddish shade behind the ribbon doesn’t work, should have made it green or something… and that orange “sun” should be a bit more colorful. I’ll fix it when it’s completely dry.

Criticism & comments welcome!

[edit]: Oh and by the way, tomorrow I’ll be inked for the first time! Sooo excited!
