replied to the topic How much generally for a quarter sleeve? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 11 months ago
Large pieces like sleeves is hard to put an estimate on. There are alot of things that can affect the price of your sleeve. color or black and gray and most importantly who your tattooist is. large pieces are usually charged by the hour. seasoned and busy tattooist can charge up to 250 an hour, but i think the average is around 150 per hour…[Read more]

replied to the topic cover up or not??? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 11 months ago
I think polynesian style tattoos have alot of skin incorporated into their designs. so a cover job probably wouldnt do it. you would be able to see it in through the design. im sure the tattooist could work around it. but if you want it to disappear i would go laser first. Good luck and keep us posted

I think that you might be able to save it. The shading looks a light so relined and some shading should do it. Dont sweat it man, just find a good tattoist and they will be able to work with it. good luck and keep us posted.

i dont know what product you are talking about, but temp tattoos have been around for along time. i personally like them as a novelty item. i thought they were rad as a kid. my daughter loves them now. ive seen some pretty cool temp tattoos in gumball machines that i could see on people. i really dont have anything negative to say about them.

Over tattooed is subjective and a matter of opinion. i think people that dont have ink are undertattooed.

like the poster above me, i have never heard of this after a 6 hour session. i have heard of people getting sick during marathon sessions of 7 to 8 hour sessions for 3 days straight. maybe you had somekind of illness prior to getting your work done that you didnt know about. If your immune system was already weak, getting inked probably didnt…[Read more]

replied to the topic Question for those with Japanese style tattoos in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 11 months ago
The Yakuza connection never really bothered me. Ive always admired japanese style tattooing, like the poster above i thought it looked “cool”. In Japan its still considered art, it just happens it has a negative perception being linked with the Yakuza. I bet there are more suited people in Japan that are nonyakuza than yakuza.

3. elbow
4. towards midline on chest plate.Ive heard that where your ass meets your leg is really sensitive. This is a great…[Read more]

vic i agree with gsouder. Man its your ink and you have to live with it for the rest of your life. the tattooist may not ever see your piece ever again. I do understand wanting to trust your tattooist artistic point of view though. My opinion is go with what you want. Who is the artist thats doing it. I always ask cause i love to check out…[Read more]
