if your set on having it done sit down with a tattoo artist and get the design to look how you want it.

most will be happy to help you finalise the design and they will be able to fit it perfectly to your leg also

give another studio a try on a similar sized piece to one you already have and compare the difference

having a tattoo is quite a traumatic experience for your skin

give it a few days to settle then check it out

it should be fine
