I think it looks great man. Love it.

He likes it and that’s awesome. A majority of our population isn’t going to analyze the technical faults in the tattoo, so, it’s going to look amazing to almost anyone you meet.

It’d be my first, so, I think the hand would be a little ballsy 😉

It’s shit. Don’t look at other people’s tattoo’s to get think of your own idea’s and make it unique to you.

It’s a band’s logo. It’s a mix of religious symbols…A pagan star, star of David, Muslim crescent, and a cross I do believe. The album name is “Believe.” It’s a symbol of tolerance basically, believe what you want, and let others believe what they want too. Also, it’s a band that got me into the music I listen to today, and the band is a subtle reminder of my father to me, since I learned of them through him.

I was just wanting everyones opinion on how it would look on the forearm. Is there anywhere you guys think it would look good at?

Haha, I have a goal size, it’s 1/8″ under the first picture 😛

The goal is to AVOID looking like dumbo this time!

Trust me, last time was TERRIBLE…I’m actually moving slower this time around, which is sad to say the least..

I definitely don’t plan on going up soon right now. My left ear feels fine, not sore at all, but it won’t be ready for a good while. My right ear is the pain in the ass ear…It’s a bit sore, but no bleeding, pus, anything of the like.

When I feel like they’re ready to move along, I’ll start adding layers of tape, but trust me, the outcome last time terrible…I was moving up several millimeters every couple days…needless to say, it was just gross in the end.

Okay, so I jumped pretty far. I’m at 5/8″ at the moment. There was no bleeding or lobe splitting, just some slight discomfort, and minor ache. I need to give these some time to heal and then I’ll tape up to 3/4″.

No need to lecture me on going fast, I know the mistake I’m making, and I’m willing to take the risk. The way I see it, as long as there’s no blood, I should be good, if I wait long enough and give my ears time. They seem to be very elastic compared to other people’s I’ve seen.

Oh yeah man, sleeping in steel tunnels sucks. Gotta do what you gotta do though. If you freshly stretch your ear, steel is the best for them.

Okay, here’s how it goes…

Get pierced, and let your ear heal.

At lower sized, just buy a taper, put it through your ear, and then follow the tapers with some plugs. Wearing tapers fucks your ears, so don’t do it.

Just do .5-1mm every few weeks or so.

Also, if you ever feel pain when going up a size, then don’t do it. It shouldn’t hurt at all. You may feel a little discomfort or pressure, but never any pain. If you feel pain, that means you ripped your ear, and you need to let it heal.

I was at an inch, and was able to shrink back down to 0g no problem, so, i’d take my advice.

Wow, Larry’s work is EXTREMELY impressive.

I’ve found a great looking artist in Indianapolis though, which is MUCH closer.

That has the potential to be a very cool tattoo. That guy Sean looks decent but for something like this Larry Brogan would definitely be the man for the job. And there’s no way we can guess the cost, but if you’re really worried about price then wait and save. To do this piece correctly it won’t be cheap and it shouldn’t be, again this could be badass if you’re willing to go to a real good artist and not be too concerned with cost. Good luck.

In the summer, I should be making a good 700-1000 a week with no bills to pay, so price isn’t much of a concern at all, I just need someone to bring out the true potential of the piece.

I’ve got about 11 beers in me right now though, so I’ll definitely check out Larry’s work tomorrow.
