I’d go for something more positive. You are going through a bad time at the moment but there may be light just around the corner. Getting a tattoo that represents this will make you feel good about it and more positive about the yourself and situation. It could represent a turning point for you/new start, that sort of thing.
Write down ideas and imagery that shows the sort of thing you want. The look at lots of designs to get a better idea then let it crystalize.

I wouldn’t make any rash decisions. Livev with your new tattoo for a bit then see if you still want to remove it. If your mom loves you she’ll get over it I promise you.

If you know exactly what you want go to a tattoo artist. If you don’t and don’t want to draw a rough version yourself, try using Photoshop to mess round with designs. It’s easy once you get started and gives pretty good results considering.

I get what you are saying and you could be right but on the other hand he could well have had a personal reason for getting that tattoo. I have variations of couple of tattoos that are popular or were a few years back. I liked the design but did want something a little original. Hey, each to there own. I liked the comments some of the above made about if that is what he wanted…. Could not agree more.

Yeah – could you post a pic so we get a clearer idea of the tattoo.
