As for the placement, if I put it on my inner bicep should I “flip” the image so that when I stretch my arms out, Bebop would be facing right side up? Or place it like my other two? I feel like if I do it like the other two in that particular spot it’ll be hard to see/tell what it is.

That healed beautifully. Maybe a little more highlights and darker, thicker outlines could of been done more-so in the fingers of Freddy’s glove to make it more appealing and give off the dimension of Jason’s mask actually sitting in the glove rather than blending in with the rest of the tattoo but that’s nitpicking. Overall, I love this. Congrats.

Yeah, that was my complaint with it, the glove and mask kinda mesh together rather than looking like 2 separate entities. I don’t hate it by any means, but that part kinda bothers me.

If you don’t mind head over to general discussion, there’s a thread I started there and would like your input on my question. 🙂

I was thinking it was to dark hiding the contrast. I was thinking maybe he tattooed it that way so it would look better healed .

Been a couple months. There it is healed. I actually liked it WAY more fresh with all the black as opposed to now with all the light grey. 🙁

What do you guys think?

If you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters. I don’t think you’re going to find the validation you’re after here, it’s down to you whether you like it or whether to get it lasered off and start again.
As for whether it looks better, the annoying green mark has been covered but it looks as if he has some weird, long mono-tooth thing going on now because the collar blends in with the rest of his mouth. Maybe it won’t look quite so bad when it’s heeled?
Personally I’d zap it and start again but like I say, it’s down to you whether or not you like it.

Good luck!!

It is healed now. That picture is from months ago. I kinda see what you’re saying, but it’s obvious to me it’s not one long tooth. As for laser removal, I’ve considered it with this and one other tattoo I have, but I don’t think it’s worth it. From what I’ve seen, sometimes it doesn’t even completely remove the tattoo. I’d hate to pay all that money and the tattoo not get completely removed, ya know? Not really looking for validation, just that I’d update since I got this done months ago and never posted it. The people here are really (brutally) honest, and I appreciate that. I’ve been on the end of both criticism and approval, so I know you guys tell it like it is. I’ll just take this and the other bad tattoo I have as learning experiences. They still fit me as a person and add character in a weird way, but I’ve learned my lesson: Cheap tattoos aren’t good and good tattoos aren’t cheap.

To the OP this is done very poorly. Do not go back to the same tattooist no matter if it is free. Find a much better tattooist and have them fix it.

Just wanted to update this story. I ended up going back to the same shop to get it redone (by a different guy). The guy who did it was no longer working there and apparently a lot of people he did tattoos on were coming back for touch ups because he doesn’t put the ink in deep enough. It’s still not a good tattoo, but it’s certainly an improvement (at least IMO) and I can live with it. He did some shading on the neck to hide the green spot, and put some on the tail too so it wasn’t obvious he just did it in that one spot to hide an error. The pupils in the eyes are the same size now. The coloring in the shirt isn’t super splotchy, and the lines look cleaner to me now.

Like I said, I know it’s not a good tattoo so please don’t rip me a new asshole telling me how bad it sucks. Just wondering of you guys think it looks better than pictured above?

Yes I meany fast not fat butt Iker is plenty fat..

I would go with Bob Tyrell but since that isn’t likely I would go with which of the two artist that feel more pumped to do that tattoo for you. I would much rather go to someone that really wants to do my tattoo then someone who is just making a buck off of it.

I can’t really tell who is more pumped to do it since I haven’t met either of them personally. Just talked to Pete on Facebook, and Steve I haven’t even spoke to, just Brittany who answers emails for B13. How do I find out which is more excited to do it? Also, just based on everything you’ve seen from both artists, who do you think would do a better job, Butt?

Butt, you’re familiar with both artists, who do you think would do a better job, Pete or Steve?

I’m glad you have followed the advice of seeking out the better artists.
Every artist works at different speeds but I would say on average it would be about 5 hours. Bob Tyrell would take about 10 hours to do it compared to someone fat like Iker Ruiz that it would be about 2 hours.

Why would the artists weight affect the tattooing time?

Is he actually working there full time or a guest artist that will only be there a few weeks? I looked at his work it’s really good. He did a Frankenstein but I don’t like it…I cant tell if he used a different photo to do a portrait of or if it’s just his spin on the image I want.

Butt, go look and see if you think he did a portrait of a different image or what.
