I don’t think I get the symbolism. Happy female quarter moon-sad male full moon.

Is is sort of a ying-yang thing?

Is it an unhappy marriage?

Can you explain for the curious?

To me it looks pretty poorly done but as long as your happy that’s all that maters.

the sad male is a sun. i just like the style of art. like a cartoony graffiti style.
its supposed to be a variation of the comedy/tragedy masks.

Um no the whole thing is crap the line work is crap,the shading is udder crap. It looks as you traded a 6 pack of beer for it (not even good beer). For your cover up tattoo please spend some time researching an artist.
