Some of his stuff looks pretty good, like that b&g back piece. Some of it looks pretty weak, like that color back piece. Honestly this guy seems to have a really variable level of quality, some of his stuff looks like hack work but then other pieces are pretty nice. Definitely looks much stronger on the b&g than color, almost all of his color stuff looks weak to me.

Question for you experts: How well does a hyper-realistic color portrait like that, with tons of fine detail, fare over time? I looks ridiculous now, but how does it age over 5 years, 10 years, 20 years? Some of these realistic works blow my mind, but does the fine detailing last?

No doubt. It’s pretty lame to be going on and on about freedom and individuality and then try to bust somebody’s arms with the law because they want to exercise their own freedom and individuality to disagree with you. I may love to wear some dumbass hat with lobster claws springing off the sides, but it’s even dumber for me to insist that a law should force other people to treat me no differently because I wear that hat every day. This isn’t an immutable personal characteristic we are talking about.
