I was at a tattoo shop with a friend and someone there was joking about covering up his chinese symbol with a large bomb because instead of meaning what he wanted (I forget) it actually meant spicy mustard and was rather large on his back. hahha</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve only had my arms upper tattood but I&#8217;ll agree the inner bicep was def more painful then the rest of the arm. The dark area near the armpit in this pic def wasn&#8217;t fun though at all. I was expecting the shoulder and back area to hurt but I hardly noticed/found them relaxing.</p>

A lot of smaller or less experienced artists make the mistake of just covering black with more black and no matter what the old tattoo will show up as there will be more black pigment in that area from the old ink adding to the new ink.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve had a hard time finding pictures of them fully healed and in normal light but from what I&#8217;ve seen it looks like it does leave a mark on the skin. So in normal light it may look like a branding or some type of scar (since the ink isn&#8217;t visible).</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll keep looking around to see if I can find any images of one fully healed in normal light though.</p>

It&#8217;s also not that bad though. The pain is more of a stingy pain that is very tolerable. Some parts do hurt more then others. My shoulder and inner arm near the armpit weren&#8217;t fun but it is only temperary.</p>

Usually the more detailed and vivid the new design the better it will hide the old tattoo. You also might need to get a few zaps of lazer removal to bring down the ink a bit but I wouldn&#8217;t know to be honest, hence why you should talk to someone good at doing cover ups.</p>

After all its pretty much a concept (at least that&#8217;s how I approached it) and can be touched up by a real artist later on. I&#8217;m no artist ha just someone whos ok using photoshop.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My fav style is black and grey done nicely well. No matter what a tattoo needs to be done very well to really show out as art but I think mediocre color tattoos don&#8217;t look nearly as bad as mediocre black and grey.</p>
<p>But black and grey is my favorite, its personal thing though. Like cake or pie.</p>
