I’ll say it again- The center of that tattoo is out of this world!

I’m not sure I get the cherry blossom/filagree tie in though. Maybe it will make more sense once it’s colored in? Seems like a really large area of frame work and it might take away from the extraordinary work in the center. I will reserve judgment until it’s done though.

Haha I guess it would have helped if I explained what else was going into this piece. All down by ass, thighs, calfs, 1/2 sleeves and chest is going to be a scene of hell. The couple in the middle is focused purely on each other and not the hell around them. I guess a metaphorical way of saying focus on what you love in life and not the evil in the world

That’s phenomenal.

How often do you get work done?

I usually go in once a month, as that is all I can afford. My next appointment is june 18th, and I’m going on a big fishing trip on the 19th 🙁 It’s going to be a rough day hahaha.

That piece is simply stunning my man. Whoever your artist is, he is one skilled mother fucker. You can just feel the passion and devotion between the lovers in the piece. The lines, the color….it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever seen my man. Wear it proud.

That’s just simply killer.

Love. Peace. Metallica.

Thanks for the kind words man, I appreciate it. I can’t wait for every session, as each time I go I see it coming together more and more. Ill keep y’all updated for sure. 🙂

Did some more homework on Adrian and all i can say is wow. I also have a few questions. when is your next sitting? how often do you go? how long do you sit each session? And without sounding awful how much does he charge per hour? surely its not cheap he is a high demand tattooist. thanks.

Patrick

Hey patrick, to answer your questions, my next sitting is on june 18th, I go once a month (you can go every 2 weeks, I just couldn’t afford to go that often), and he charges 500 for a half day (about 3hours) and 800 for a full day (about 6 hours). He is very reasonable in my opinion

Looks great man – how many more sessions do you have?

Thanks bro, and I’m looking at, at least, another 12 sessions (5-6hrs a piece) until it’s done.

Immaculate.
Major props to you and the artist.

I know this is probably just my unprofessional opinion…
But the woman’s right elbow bothers me a bit…
Other than that, it looks pretty much fantastic.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!! 🙂

And I asked him about her right elbow as well, as I was like “it looks weird”, he said not to worry about it as he isn’t even close to done on the highlights and color-shading. We usually take pictures after every session at the shop, but he didn’t want to take them this time because he said the color schemes are kind of fucked up at the moment (in his eyes I guess, it looks amazing to me lol).

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate the kind words. If you guys get the chance, check out their website and look into picking up one of their books; they have amazing tattoos in them from all around the world (“Bloodwork” and “Suits Made to Fit”)

good idea 😉 any more planned ??

Thanks, and at the moment I don’t have any more planned. I was thinking I might do something small and stupid once this is done (like a Butters from southpark tattoo on my foot or something). I think it’d be funny to have one really large serious piece, and one small stupid one haha.

wow.. its beautiful! im amazed, i just dont know what to say its so good! can’t wait to see it finished.

Thank you 🙂 It’s probably going to be at least a year and a half before it is done. We started on this piece at the end of August ’09, so I don’t expect it to be done until the end of 2011

welcome to the forum , just out of interest is your back piece your only tattoo so far ??

Yep 🙂 This is my first piece. I figured I might as well be different and get a huge piece for my first hahaha. I have been a fan of Adrian’s work since I was like 16 (I’m 25 now), so I’ve been planning this a while 😀

very cool tat, it’s really interesting. flipping through the link that you provided… I have to pick my jaw off the floor from the full back baby. it’s so big it didn’t register what it was for a few seconds. amazing!

Yeah… that piece is amazing. All of adrians work is mind blowing, and it was well worth the 2+ years I had to wait to get in with him. My favorite piece of his (besides mine of coarse hahaha) is the one with the angel and demons on the analog site

Awesome ink man. How many hours are you in for. what is the story behind your ink if there is one. Looks great man thanks for sharing.

Patrick

I just checked out your tattooists online portfolio, its awesome. Is he included in the bloodwork book or did he put it together. I noticed he tattoos at three tides in Japan. One of my tattooist goes there as well, Chris Trevino. I cant wait to see the process of your back piece.

Patrick

I’m about 25ish hours in with another probably 50 to go. The story is that I wanted something that represents focusing on the things you love in life while you ignore the people who try to hurt you and hold you back. So all around the couple is going to be a scene of hell (devils, demons, etc). This piece is going to go down behind my knees, 1/2 sleeves and chest.

And about the book, he is the one who put it together, as well as the book “Suits made to fit”, which is kickass if you havnt seen it
